"I bought a new home and we knew that there was some plumbing issues that we wanted to get someone working on right away. Before we got moved in we had Billy and Howard come out to put in the kitchen sink in and to fix the leak in bathroom sink. When they arrived, they realized that I had ordered the wrong size kitchen sink. They were incredibly gracious about my mistake and went above and beyond duty to help get the right measurements and to talk me through what I should be looking for. We moved into the house on Tuesday. On Friday, after shower and a load of laundry I noticed water coming up out of the main drain. I am a first time homeowner, I had no idea what that meant. I did another load of laundry after mopping up the floor and confirmed that the water was coming up from the drain, not coming from the washer. I called and got Chris to come out to take a look at it. Chris could not have been more kind, more reassuring, and quick at solving problems (and there were several, like the previous owner cementing over the access drain). I cannot recommend this company enough. As a person who knows nothing about plumbing, I was really impressed by how well Billy, Chris, and Howard were able to explain what was happening, what my options were, what the risks were, and frankly that they were able to do all of that without a tinge of condescension. "McDonough's is my go-to for any drain problems!  The guys who came were very professional, helpful and all around great.  They worked a tough clog out of the drain line coming from the laundry room, then checked the main sewer line from the house and did some preventative clearing on some roots (the house has a history of roots clogging the main line and McDonough's has cleared it twice already, which the guys knew so they checked while they were already there and had the equipment ready).  The work was well done, they replaced some aging parts proactively, and they cleaned everything up like they had never been there.  Fantastic!

"I am rating this business highly even though they werenâ t able to clear my drain. The man worked for several hours but couldnâ t get past the clog. Then he offered me some referrals and didnâ t charge me a dime. He said their (reasonable) fixed rate was for clearing the drain and , because he didnâ t do that, there was no charge. "He didn't have the supplies needed so he had to run to the hardware store to get more supplies. The quoted cost of $175.00 ended up at $330 which was a lot more than I wanted to pay for the install. The toilet also ended up a 1/2 inch above the floor with a lot of clear sealant around the toilet and I couldn't use the toilet for 3 days while I had to wait for the sealant to dry. I need to clean up around the toilet as their is a bunch of clear sealant around the toilet, however, the toilet does work and the job was completed. He didn't seem confident that the toilet wouldn't leak after the install, but thankfully it doesn't. I would have preferred someone with more confidence in their work."
