Within days of moving in on November 19th, our contractor found severe hidden issues: active roof leaks, soaked insulation, wood rot, mold in the walls and ceiling, and improperly installed metal roofing where sunlight was visible through gaps. Repairs cost $3,600. For weeks he ignored my emails and texts, then repeatedly tried calling me to ?talk on the phone? instead of addressing it in writing like I had requested numerous times. I gave him a written deadline to refund the inspection fee or I?d file a complaint with the Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors; he missed the deadline and still hasn?t taken responsibility.
