"We had Crystal Pool & Spa quote and then remodel our existing in ground plaster pool.  They were quick to do estimates, they only do it via email.  They were able to look up the build records of our pool and then quote the remodel based on size.  The pool is approx 15' wide by 32' long with 9' deep end and 3' shallow end.  There is a tiny spa, but the old homeowners removed the heater.  The Spa barely holds one person, so we opted to remove the spa wall and make a seating area for the pool.  CPS was quick to quote, started work in about two weeks and it took two weeks to finish.  Took a little longer since the tile we originally wanted was out of stock and took a few days to get tile samples as well.  Overall, all the crews worked quickly and hard and did an excellent job.  Two weeks start to finish until the pool was full of water <br /> <br /> They left the backyard pretty clean afterwards, but the plaster guys left some plaster material in a flower planter bed, that was empty.  So I am left with cleaning that out.  Everyone was very nice and professional and the work went smoothly, very hassle free."

"This is a good professional tree service. <br /> They ate arborists so they know how to care for the trees, verses the many unlicensed tree trimmers that constantly try to get our business. <br />"

"I purchased a home aware that the white porcelain bathroom sink had cracks and a small hole in the basin. I intended to replace the sink. However, the sink could not be replaced without replacing the entire vanity. Melvin was highly recommended to me by a family friend. He came today to repair and refinish the sink. He was completely professional (arrived on time, communicated well, minimized dust, good cleanup and fair price). The sink looks amazing. I am grateful for his skillful service and strongly recommend his business."

FAQs for swimming pool or accessories repair or service projects in Huntington Park, CA

A well-maintained, correctly sized pump lasts eight to 12 years. Help it reach the upper end of that range by cleaning the strainer basket, monitoring for unusual sounds, and verifying that the pump’s flow rate matches the filter's specifications. Address leaks or pressure dips quickly—minor fixes now cost far less than a premature replacement later.

Listen for grinding or screeching, watch for breaker trips, and keep an eye on sudden spikes in your electric bill—any one of these signals the pump needs attention. If repairs continue to accumulate or the unit is older than eight years, replacement often makes more financial sense. Contact a qualified pool repair professional immediately to diagnose the issue and prevent further damage to the filter or plumbing.

It’s best to keep your pool pump on while swimming. Keeping the pump on while you swim allows the filter and skimmers to catch debris in real-time, maintaining water features flowing. It’s not mandatory, but weaving swim time into your regular eight-to-12-hour schedule helps maintain crystal-clear water and consistent chemical levels without extra effort.

Start by shutting off the power at the breaker and verifying with a voltage meter. Close the water valves, bleed pressure, and unbolt the old pump. Wire the new unit according to the manufacturer's diagram, glue in the PVC unions, prime the housing, and tighten everything securely. Open the valves, flip the breaker, and watch for steady water flow and quiet operation. If any step feels beyond your expertise, consider hiring a licensed electrician or pool technician.
