"On Wednesday, 08/28/2024, I used the Angi app because my AC unit was not coming on and had a red light and I had suspected a compressor. Rocky HVAC came to inspect the AC unit. They told me that it had a leak and that they would fix the leak and then add freon for a total of $1,150.00, including a diagnostic fee of $75.00, which I paid same day (08/28/2024). The next day (Thursday, 08/29/2024) I called the provider and asked them to go ahead and repair the unit. They later called me and said that they had fixed it and requested payment. I paid the requested amount of 1,075.00 upon they claim of repairs, but then just a few hours later, my tenant called me that the unit was not working, and that the property was very hot. I called back Rocky HVAC on Friday, 08/30/2024 and explained to them that the unit was not working. They said that they would call me back and after waiting for several hours without getting a call back, I called again and this time they said that they will send someone back to the property. Rocky HVAC finally came the next day (Saturday, 08/31/2024) and upon looking at the unit, they told my tenant that the unit needs to be replaced. When I go to the property, my tenant relayed the information to me, so I called Rocky HVAC and asked why I was not told from the storm art that fixing a freon leak was never an option, but rather replacing the entire unit. They claimed that they had said so but it is extremely disingenuous because if they had ever mentioned that I needed a new unit, I would not have wasted time and money to fix something else. I asked them for a refund of $1,150.00, but they are instead telling me that they would rather credit me $500.00 towards a new unit."
