"I have a very challenging A-Frame in the mountains that was in dire needs of a new roof. After contacting several roofing companies that never got back with me, I called Dave with Troost Roofing. Not only did Dave come right out to do an estimate, it was quite reasonable. Due to the years of neglect and incorrect roofing, Dave's guys found that the decking needed to be replaced as well. "I have tried for 6 months to get a roofer to make a simple repair and maintenance on my roof, they would all blow me off for not going through with a full roof replacement. Michael came out quickly and agreed our roof is in pretty good shape for it's age and worth the repair and was able to do the work that same week! His work was very clean, he was on time and fairly priced. He even went above and beyond to spray paint an ugly radon exhaust pipe to match our roof so now it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb which is a testament that he cares about his work. Although that was a small thing it meant a lot to us as homeowners! I would absolutely recommend him and will hire him again come the day our roof does need a full replacement."

"Original bid was $850. Somehow it ended up costing $1200. I'd rather know the price up front than be lied to. Every trip he made to the house there was a new issue that increased price. I have since spoken to a couple of installers who assured me that the items he charged me extra for should have been included at no charge and he should have known to look for them when he did the original bid. Like how thick was the existing door and the replacement door? Charging extra to replace trim that you removed? I wouldn't use him again. Which is sad. I would have paid the higher price if that's what he had quoted to begin with, but to nickel and dime at every turn seems shady and I don't want to business with that kind of businessman. The house was under contract and he knew that I had to get the job done, which he gladly took advantage of, running up the price. Don't take advantage of people. It isn't nice. Like I said, I needed the job completed, the issue wasn't the price, I would have paid the $1200, the issue was the way that the man does business. If this is the way that Wayne treated me, I shudder to think of how he would take advantage of someone else who would be easy to take advantage of, say and elderly person or someone else who was rushed. It's better to be up front and honest. The job took longer than anticipated but not excessively. I've noticed that any home improvement job seems to take longer than scheduled."

"We had JC Masonry replace our fireplace. Cathi was great at responding promply. Joey was meticulous about his work, and did a great job! Working with them was like working with family. I wish I could attach pictures, because the end result was unbelieveable! I would definitely recommend them! In fact, I plan on using them again this summer to replace several retaining walls. Just good people!"

"Overall it worked out alright. I was quoted a price by a woman who I was told had since been fired for quoting too low and then was told that I had to pay extra. The did appear to do a good job but we had to pay more than we were told. I did call the owner and told him about the cost and he told me that if I didn't like that I had to pay extra he would just tell his men to leave the job right then. The gentlemen that came out was very polite."
