"I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."

"Jodoin Home Improvement is an excellent company! They work to a high standard of quality and everyone who works there is kind and considerate. We had the exterior siding and windows replaced on our home by Jodoin. The job took a long time to complete because of the amount of work. They set to their task every day, called if weather was a factor and were a pleasure to have around. I would not hesitate to recommend them and to use their services in the future!"

Historical home required rotten wood replacement ? numerous locations around the house require replacement or repair of external wood siding, trim work - excellent workmanship very happy with work performed.

External Paint  sanding (prep) ? wet sanding of the home went quickly and very clean  - superb workmanship very happy with work

External Paint tape (prep)- this is where the project was very slow and time seem to take forever to complete ? 2 weeks of taping .

External Paint ? primer coat - excellent workmanship very happy 1 day

External Paint ? base color 2 coats - excellent workmanship took too long to complete-  8 days

 External Paint ? trim color - excellent workmanship took too long to complete- 5 days

If you are not looking to get house done quickly 1-2 weeks then these are the guys for you excellent work but slow

"Everything went great, there were a couple changes that had to be made as the job progressed, we found out the old toilet had been leaking pretty badly, and there was a bunch of rotting floor boards.  Other than that they completed the job within our time frame, cleaned the house up at the end of each day very well, and really treated our home like it was theirs.  Everything was sealed up with plastic barriers so we wouldn't get dust throughout the house, I was very pleased about that.  We plan to have them back in the next year or two for the kitchen.

"Fantastic! Dave Brodowski and his crew were professional and friendly. They worked long hours to get the work done. Dave and his crew removed the old shingles, placed a coating on the bare roof, and put down new shingles. They cleaned up multiple times each day. They used a remote cart with an extendable slide. Dave let us know about any issues with the bare roof. The new roof looks fantastic! I would recommend them to anyone."

"Yes the work was done. The two guys that came put in 7 windows and two big bay windows in one day. They did not even taken a break. They cleaned up the small pieces of scrap. Then one week later they came back and put in two new doors with the same professionalism when they did my doors."

"They were extremely professional leaving the work area at the end of the day cleaner than when they started. He was extremely patient with installing the backsplash making it perfectly straight even around windows and corners. Pricing was extremely reasonable and I’m planning on hiring them for fireplace tiles and basement flooring."

"High recommendations for all aspects of job (complete priming, scraping, wood replacement, painting, repair of exterior of house). The house had not been painted in a long time and it showed it. Bruno, the owner and sometimes crew member, gave a knowledgable assessment of what needed to be done in a walk-around inspection. He wrote out what he would do in a clear contract/proposal and stuck to the contract even though a lot of surprises showed up during the preparation process. The job was complicated by bad weather and rain but it never hindered the process or progress of the job. We also had not made a decision about the final color until the painting began. We never felt pressured to make a decision even when we had changed our minds from our first proposal - multiple colors rather than one. The crew was hard-working, friendly, professional, efficient. They didn't make us feel in the way or uncomfortable doing our activities while they were hard at work. Tireless workers. The price was fair and competitive. When asked, we have told our friends the price and they always said that they thought it would have been more. Excellent materials were used for the project. We have had the house painted before and the Empire Company performed many steps, especially in prep work, that had never been done to or considered for our house before. HIGH recommendation.
