The old roof was taken off and the new one installed in just two days, and they made sure that any area with potential for leaks (dormers, chimneys, etc.) was properly reinforced and sealed. Our property was cleaned up spotlessly. The slate had been installed with copper nails, so they had to get on their hands and knees, looking through the grass, to make sure all those copper nails were found and removed. "We had purchased a 100 year old house with a slate roof. Though at first we thought we had a few years left, we quickly discovered multiple leaks. Other companies would only replace it, but Robert's suggested that a repair was possible -- offering a contract that would repair all damaged slate that they found including damaged underlayment (but not structure). This allowed us to keep the historic look of the house intact. Their bidding process was the most professional we saw -- they used a drone to evaluate the roof, and as we moved towards signing a foreman came out to evaluate the roof directly and ensure they would have enough material to complete the work (which did revise the bid slightly). It was always easy to get someone knowledgeable on the phone. While the work was underway the crew was very professional. The site was impeccably clean every day after they left. During the work, they did discover several rafters had failed necessitating emergency structural repairs. These were completed and the roof was watertight before they left for the day. Obviously this is a highly stressful situation for a homeowner, but they demonstrated a zen-like level of calm and focus that was extremely comforting. They also introduced us to a contractor to help complete some plaster patching that needed to be done inside where they had installed temporary supports. There was also much more damaged slate than they had originally anticipated -- approximately half of the total roof. However, they kept their commitment to take the burden of the overage, and we paid exactly what was quoted, plus a comparably modest sum for the unanticipated structural repairs. Likewise, they came back with no questions asked to resolve a minor issue we found a few weeks after the work completed. Though no project of this scope is without issues, Robert's went above and beyond my expectations to deliver a solid repair and demonstrated that they are committed to customer happiness."

"The job was completed by an older expert worker and a young trainee in a very timely fashion.  Both workers were nice and courteous.  Some minor damage occured to the window screens, but it was not reported to the company.  The following spring the very top piece of the siding on the north side became loose and needed to be re-attached.  We reported it to the owner of the company several times.  He finally sent someone to take care of the problem, but he did not have a tall enough ladder.  We were told that someone came again and no one was home.  The company owner was contacted again several timnes and I was told that as soon as a current job was completed, someone would come and make the repair.  No one has contacted us to date after we have called and visited to office several times.  The siding is still in need of repair."
