"I would recommend R Wright Construction to anyone who is needing any kind of work done. George, the owner, was very hands on with the whole production. His employees were wonderful. Any people he had come in to do wiring, insulation, construction, roofing, etc. were all extremely nice and knew their jobs and did them on time. I had never had anything like this done before, and he made it easy to work with him and I will definitely be calling him back for other projects that I need coming up."

"We were so impressed with the salesperson that came out that we didn't get any other bids. We could have probably got the work done for less money but we knew they would do quality work that had a gaurentee with it. They did an excellent job. At the conclusion a supervisor came and went over the entire house, looking for any areas that weren't done right. There were a couple of minor things that they took care of right away. We were quiet satisfied with them."

"According to my tenant and her feedback everything was done professionally and they showed up as scheduled. It took a little longer to get the project done and I almost canceled. When I first contacted Mr Wesley I emphasized that I needed to have the work done before Thanksgiving and he did do this. Mr Wesley takes pride in whatever he does and wanted to do a lot more work than the $300 deal I had purchased. I only wanted to use my $300 deal. He did a lot of other estimates on his own and presented me with a higher estimate a little over $3,000. We disagreed on the bathtub lever (use to turn the shower on) that I and the tenant wanted repaired. The job he wanted to do was much more like remodeling the bathtub surround area and fixtures. He did not want to the job unles he could do it his way. This resulted in him not doing this repair and me having someone else come out to do it. I respect his feelings for wanting to do a quality job. I believe Mr Wesley is more of a high quality contractor and not necessary a person for doing small everyday repairs for rentals. I do have some other work that I am considering to ask Mr Wesley to give me a bid for.

"Eric removed two layers of shingles from our 40 year old roof and replaced them with new 3D Duration shingles. The job started with us needing someone to replace some siding on the chimney due to water leaking in behind the siding causing deterioration and paint peeling off of the siding panels. The repair which we were pursuing was relatively small and consequently we contacted several qualified contractors and they were not willing to even come and scope out our job. Someone referred us to Maximus and when I called and talked to Eric, he was willing to take on the project even though it was small. When he showed up to evaluate the situation and give an estimate for the job, he discovered that the cause of our problem was due to the concrete cap around our chimneys that had cracked and separated and allowed water to seep in and deteriorate the trim boards and siding. We agreed to have him replace the siding and trim boards and to replace the chimney chase because his quote was very reasonable. During this same visit, I was asking him about the condition of the shingles on the roof because they had been in place for 20 years. They were showing signs of wear but he said they could last another year or two. I inquired as to the cost of him roofing the house too while he was doing the other jobs for us and that quote seemed very reasonable so I agreed to that job as well. He has just finished the total project in less than a week and everything looks really good. He maintained the schedule that he promised and he was on site nearly every day to make sure things were running smooth. We will definitely call Maximus again when the need arises.

"UPDATE: Since the situation below happened, Veteran Construction took charge of the situation and explained that the situation does not reflect their business practice or company policy on engaging potential clients. Therefore, I have updated my rating to a C since it perhaps was a misunderstanding with the individual. However, I will still leave the review below since it did happen and I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. I truly hope that this was an isolated incident.

After the company?s response, I have updated my statement to show that this was a disagreement with one of their
employees rather than the company:
After every hail storm that we get in Central Indiana, we get a flood of Storm Chasers come through our subdivision giving us "free estimates" on any damages on our roof and vinyl siding. However, I had never had one of them call me a liar and a thief for not accepting their free inspection/estimate. One of the representatives from "Veteran Construction" stopped by, he mentioned that they were going to be working on our street and he would love to have someone drop by to give us a free inspection/estimate on any damages from the storm. I politely explained that we were all set and thanked him for stopping by. He then asked how come we didn?t need an estimate. I explained that our roof was brand new and I had done an inspections of the vinyl siding and I didn't think we needed any help at this time. He then said that he was going to leave me with "a million dollar question" and he pulled out a piece of paper from a huge stack of duplicates from his folder. The paper was a double-sided "million dollar" bill with Ronald Reagan on the front. When I flipped it, it basically asked me if I thought I was good enough to go to heaven and went on
to explain that lies (even white lies, fibs, or exaggeration) were considered lying. It went on to ask if I was a thief and followed up with an explanation of what it means to steal. Then it told me that I needed to repent or I could end up in prison for being a liar and a thief. Even worse for me, I would not go to heaven but rather h***. I can't believe that someone would think that this is the right way to do business. I had my roof changed 3 years ago and on my inspection of the siding I found a small hole on the vinyl that I can fix myself. Other representatives from different companies just left their business card and asked me to call them if I needed help, which I would gladly do. This individual insulted me, my religious beliefs, and my principles just because I declined an inspection. I hope this was an isolated incident and it won?t happen again. It is best to separate business with personal thoughts on certain individuals. As Veteran Construction explained, I hope that the appropriateness of the situation was discussed with the employee so they know the difference."

"At first I thought a bit pricey, but other estimates were higher. I was extremely satisfied with the quality of work. The entire staff and crew were very polite and conscientious. They replaced my front porch (including concrete) and repaired my mini barn. I highly recommend this company!"

FAQs for metal awning or patio cover installation and replacement projects in Indianapolis, IN

Yes, you can paint your metal awning using oil-based paints to give it a fresh new look and protect it from corrosion. Oil-based paints are durable and help preserve the awning's structural integrity. Keep in mind that painting an aluminum awning costs $2.50 to $3.50 per square foot. Be sure to hire a painter who specializes in awning painting to get the best results.

Metal awnings are incredibly durable and offer excellent protection against the elements for your home. They resist sun, rain, and snow, keeping your space safe and comfortable. Stainless steel and copper awnings provide outstanding longevity and structural integrity, while aluminum awnings are more affordable without sacrificing performance. Plus, their sturdy construction can improve energy efficiency and boost your home's curb appeal.

While metal awnings are durable, they can be more expensive than other types, so they might not be ideal if you're on a tight budget. They also offer fewer customization options compared to fabric awnings, so you might have limited choices in style or color. Additionally, metal awnings are fixed in place and harder to adjust, so you won't be able to raise or lower them easily based on the weather.

Yes, metal awnings can increase your home's value by enhancing its curb appeal and providing more usable outdoor space. Their sturdy design not only improves the look of your home but can also contribute to energy savings. If you opt for motorized awnings, they add a touch of sophistication that can be especially appealing to potential buyers when you're ready to sell.

Metal awnings can last 20 to 30 years with proper maintenance. To keep them in good shape, regularly clean them with a vinegar and water solution a few times each season to prevent buildup and corrosion. If your awning has electronic components, be sure to service them routinely. Taking care of any damage promptly will help your awning perform its best and extend its lifespan.
