On the appointment day, she arrived on time, and had given a phone call about 30 minutes prior to arriving. She inspected our gas fireplace, cleaned inside the firebox, tested the gas, and installed a new damper latch. She also re-adhered the metal key (decorative) surrounding to the tile. She provided a condition report/receipt. I would hire them again."

"We've had a problem with birds and a squirrel coming down our chimney. One chimney is in the kitchen for an indoor grill, and there is our fireplace in the den. We have rarely used either the grill or fireplace in the mid-century home we inherited from our parents. We decided to get the chimneys capped to prevent animal invasion. Luna's Chimney Sweep had very good reviews, so I called and was informed by Violet what the process is and that they offer a free estimate. I made an appointment and Pedro Luna and his assistant, Chris, arrived promptly on the appointed day and time. Mr. Luna explained their service and also gave us good information about the operation and mechanisms of fireplaces. He did the inspection and told us the problem areas that he found and gave us the option of how much work we would want to have done on the fireplaces. He said they could start work that day if we accept the estimated price, or make an appointment for them to come back another day. We decided to have the recommended repairs done that day, with cleaning and capping of both fireplaces. The work was completed in a little under three hours. Mr. Luna and Chris were thorough, efficient, and neat. He reviewed the work done with us and made sure we were satisfied with everything. They were careful to clean up afterward and the work areas were left spotless. We are pleased with the work done, the price seemed fair, and Mr. Luna was careful to explain everything and to make sure we understood the hows and whys of what he was recommending and doing. I would not hesitate to use his service again or give a referral to others."

"Gary was  prompt and professional for each appointment.  On the initial appointment, he patiently answered all my questions, provided a good selection of products to choose from, and gave a quote for services.  The day of service, Gary prepped & painted the inside of the fireplace as well as all hardware on the doors.  For the finishing touches, he installed a new burner and fire glass.  When he left the area was clean and ready to be enjoyed.  My boring, outdated gas fireplace is now updated, and looks great!!!  I'd hire Gary again. <br />"

"When we moved in to our 1991 home, the new gas dryer wouldn't heat. A check of the manual indicated that there was probably a blocked vent. We contacted Abetter Vent Cleaning, and they came the same day. The technician discovered that the outside vent cap was jammed into the vent. With our permission, he cut the cap off. He cleaned the vents (clearly something the previous owners had neglected). He quoted a reasonable price for the vent cap repair, but we chose not to have it done that day. <br /> We had him return last week to fix the outdoor vent cap. We were contacted to see if we wanted him to come a few days earlier than scheduled, so we had service earlier than expected. He had to cut into the stucco to remove the old, broken unit. His replacement and repair was completed quickly, and looks very neat. The dryer is now working and venting correctly. <br /> Pros: <br /> - They responded to phone calls quickly and professionally. <br /> - The two times we've used their services, they've been on time and had all of the required tools and parts. <br /> - The technicians performed the jobs efficiently. <br /> - They clean up any mess, and leave the house as clean as it was when they arrived. <br /> - <br /> While they are probably not the least expensive vendor, they do the quoted work in a reasonable length of time for the quoted price. <br /> Cons: <br /> None for the work we have had done. <br />"

He came out when he said, he took about the right time and everything. He took 30/35 minutes to do it. He seem like a nice guy. I would say to drop the price. "I've dealt with a number of contractors throughout the years and I must say Adam Othman is truly one of a kind. Adam only works on one job at a time and the quality of service really shows. I knew Adam was the right person for our project immediately after our very first phone call. He took his time to really understand my objectives. You immediately get the sense that Adam is unlike other contractors. He is extremely sensitive to the client's budget and goes beyond the call of duty to get the job done right and on budget. Our project involved a 1922 Spanish home with a very low tiled ceiling. The ceiling was extremely out of scale in relation to the size of the room and it was our objective to raise it as high as possible. Prior to our contract, Adam dedicated so much time surveying the attic on two separate occasions and helped us come up with a solution that didn't require any major structural modification to our existing roof. Adam is a very methodical thinker. You could literally see his mind coming up with solutions as he quietly studied the project. You know you are in good hands because of the questions he asks. He anticipates problems before they even happen and that really put us at ease. Our project time frame was 4 weeks. Adam started the project on time and finished EXACTLY on the week he promised. He is by far the most organized contractor I've ever dealt with. Workmanship was superb. The work area was always left clean and the framing he personally did on the ceiling was truly a work of art. Before the drywall went up, he and I joked that the framing was too beautiful to cover up. He did absolutely beautiful work. The drywall crew did an outstanding job skim coating the plaster walls and their workmanship was as superb as Adam's. He clearly hires the best sub contractors in the business. It was the most stress free experience we've had from any previous contractor and that is testament to the way Adam runs his business. The living room is now quickly becoming my favorite room in the house and I am grateful to Adam for putting all his heart into it. He is truly a wonderful contractor who I now consider a friend. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending him to anyone. He is truly the best!"
