The wood under the threshold was completely rotted. Adi made 3 trips to the local hardware store to get the right materials to replace everything that needed replacing. No shortcuts. When I noticed some gapping the next day, he came right back and made adjustments. The door is seated securely and looks great. Overall, quick, gracious, knowledgeable, and professional. "It went well.  I am in a new (to me) home, and I did not expect the mold problem, so the extra cost was a hit, but I always maintained my other home well, and I have to fix the things wrong on this one.  The technician was really polite and professional, and informed me of everything he was doing, and provided a detailed listing of what was wrong.  I can't climb the stairs to the attic to see, so I couldn't see the problem, but I took his word for it.  He even replaced a dirty vent in the front living room.

"I had been looking for companies to help with the lack of energy efficiency in my new house, which is a 1951 Cape Cod.  When my husband and I purchased the house, we were unfamiliar with some of the challenges inherent to a Cape, one of which is the serious loss of heating and air conditioning due to the second (1/2) story being tucked into the roofline.
I tried six times to contact another highly-rated company here on Angie's List, but after a couple of weeks of waiting, moved on to Reach Barrier.  When I called, a real person picked up the phone, and when I said I had questions, she connected me to the president of the company who is right here in Richardson!  Greg walked me through how their product was made (which made me feel really good), as well as how the installation takes place.
The team arrived right on time (early to avoid the heat of the day), and finished faster than I expected.  It is such a clean process -- basically film and staples -- and other than a slight off-gassing (which to my surprise, dissipated after about an hour) and some clunking around in the attic, I hardly knew anyone was working on the house.  Somehow they managed to find access to the roof over my bathroom addition that I thought they wouldn't be able to do.  That was a great surprise.  The team was attractive (shouldn't matter, but I think it makes people feel comfortable), nicely-dressed, and well-spoken.  
When the job was done, the total came to a dramatically different price due to an error on the estimate, so I called the office and they straightened it out with no hassle whatsoever.  You can tell this company is firmly committed to customer support and happiness.  I popped into their office today to purchase DIY kits for our garage doors, and plan to get them out to professionally apply their radiant barrier film on our garage roof very soon.

We discussed a date and time, and him and his team showed up on-time every single day. The attention to detail, professionalism, and courtesy is appreciated. In my line of work, I deal with a lot of companies ( especially general contractors) and many of them ( a good majority) attempt to get the most amount of money for the least amount of work. It is extremely hard to hire a company that has values and is focused on simply doing a honest job for an honest pay. Nonetheless, Vasquez Painting is one of the few companies I have come across that does EXACTLY what they say their going to do, without attempting to overcharge, manipulate, and/or take advantage of customers.
