"Inspection of a previously installed sump pump system (primarily the sump pump). Inspection found that it seized up and wouldn't have functioned. Replacement made - and very fortunately - since when the pump is needed, it IS needed. It wouldn't have been good to have a flooded basement or have an upcoming flooded basement."

"They were very quick to respond with an estimate the same afternoon I called. The quote was inline with other plumbers, so I accepted and they were able to install the new water heater the next afternoon. They were very skilled at their work and did a quality job, so I was very happy. As I was getting a hybrid water heater, they also had access to order and install a State Brand hybrid (also known as A.O. Smith). I preferred this over the big box store brands available. Thus, I'm very happy with the speed of the repair, my preferred brand of equipment, as well as the quality of the work. Note: I included the price; however, please note that hybrid water heaters are more expensive and complex to buy and install than standard water heaters. I did a lot of research on this item and cost for install, so I knew what to expect. Overall, I was happy with the cost, given the quality of the work and the amount of plumbing required for my particular installation."

"I had a problem with the water pressure fluctuating. Come to find out, it was the holding tank. The professionals at Waterdrct came out (Dennis) promptly and found the tank was old and waterbound. They were like lightening (in a good way) and had the tank replaced in like 30 mins. These guys are GOOD !!! The water pressure was more than I thought the well could produce. Excellent job and very informative. They are true professionals !! I highly recommend them."

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

"I had installation done four years ago, and this is by far the best money I've spent on my house. The price was fair, work was completed earlier than promised, and I breathe a sigh of relief every time I hear the sump pump engage. I have Budget Dry come out for annual service on the pump and battery, and again, this is money well spent. The company is responsive, and everyone I've dealt with is 100% professional."

"After they came and tested the amps from the pump it was discovered that the well pump needed to be replaced. They were able to do it that night and I am happy to say after not having water for 2 days because of the weekend I now have water."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Ivoryton, CT

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
