Customers say: Quality work

"05/16/18:Liberty Paving: Every facet (from the first phone call to the time the last truck left) of the project was perfect... couldn't ask for more. The scope was the resurfacing of my existing driveway, plus an extension. There was oversight from start to finish, and every worker was great... hard working, polite, professional, and respectful to all my neighbors. A GREAT company, a GREAT price, and a GREAT experience! THANKS! 08/28/18: Will and his Crew are great... if I could, I'd give him 10 stars. Professional, prompt, polite, THOROUGH in doing a GREAT job, and considerate of my Neighbors. I can't note enough good things about both re-surfacing / extending my driveway and re-sealing it."

"I don’t know how they could get much better than Denis and his company Philadelphia Brick and Stone Pointing. We did a LOT of research and got a number of estimates before deciding to hire Denis. We could not be more pleased with that decision. He was highly responsive; knew how to properly handle brick and stone work at our historic old property; worked to match the mortar material, color(s) and pointing technique; price was more than fair; and all work was done on time to a high standard. Denis clearly cares about his customers and the quality of his work. He is skilled, personable, incredibly hard-working, and went above and beyond. We not only hired him once, but twice, and hope we never have to use anyone else. There is a reason all his reviews are 5 stars. Add our 5 stars to the list!"

"Our irrigation system was not really operable. Several were leaking and the programmer didn't work correctly. Gary came out and spent over a full day digging up sprinkler heads and redoing our system. It now over a year later is still working perfectly. <br /> He also sodded our front yard and added more landscaping features. Our landscaping was very random previously and had very little curb appeal. Gary did a design that took advantage of what we already had and added to it. <br /> He also put sod down. The sod has done very well, we had previously had it sodded by another company and it didn't last. <br /> We are still very happy with the work Gary and his team did. <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Jacksonville, FL

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
