"Fantastic job I would recommend to anyone looking to add some "curb" appeal to their Home. Jeremy came out and gave us a quote and some very helpful advise. I thought the price was a littl high, but we scheduled anyway. When the time came to install our boarder, the crew was on time and professional. The curb was installed with great care and they cleaned up after themselves as they went. Jeremy explained everything along the way and I felt like I got good value for the money. Our new boarder looks great!!! Thanks Jeremy for a job well done."

"We requested a design layout for our new construction and just went in to see the plan. Aimee was so knowledgeable about plants I was quite impressed. She was very professional and educated us on several points. I had some things in mind and she expertly explained why or why not it would work. We will have them begin work in about a month or so. At this point I can recommend Aimee for her expertise and utmost professionalism. <br />"

"I called and set up appointment, I didn't tell them I was calling from Angie's List. They made the appointment two days later as I requested. The driver got delayed picking up supplies and was 20min late, but I didn't care too much about that as they contacted me and I was home anyway.  <br /> Once they got there they did measurements of each room, they did exactly the area measured and not a square inch more. For instance the 2x6 closet they didn't include as part of the bedroom even though there were 4 pieces of furniture including a king size bed they of course didn't clean under or move. But if I wanted one swipe down the small walking area of the closet that was going to cost me.  <br /> They did an excellent job with the cleaning part, they vacuumed each room first, and wiped down baseboards. The clean was great and the chemicals they used dry in about an hour unlike most cleanings.  <br /> Here is the part that made me mad. I didn't call and mention Angie's List when I made the appointment. I wanted their regular pricing before the 20% off discount to Angie's List members... Well they price it up and it's $478, the highest price I've ever paid for carpet cleaning. So the guy tells me the Angie's List discount was already applied, and I said BUT I DIDN'T TELL YOU I FOUND YOU ON ANGIE'S LIST. So they said price reflected the Angie's List discount, and the Angie's List discount is the same as their spring sale price... That is a complete LIE in my opinion, the house is 3800sq ft, they didn't do anything to the tile areas, or two carpeted rooms. I think in total they cleaned about 1600sq ft.  <br /> So they are telling me their regular price for this size area is $478 + 20% = $573!!!! No one would pay that, if I hadn't taken the day off and could have got someone else I would have, but they were there. I wouldn't call it a bait and switch, but it's a bait of some kind because I expected to pay $382 after I saw the initial estimate.  <br /> Would I use them again? No. I paid someone else in the mid upper $300 range and got the same quality I got from these people for just shy of $500. The only benefit was the quick dry in my opinion, and that's not worth $100. <br />"

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Jacksonville, FL

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
