"I had an old light fixture removed that did not have a backbox & cover plate to house the wires correctly and a bedroom ceiling fan that mysteriously stopped working. I read a number of Angie's list reviews and felt that VMA Electric seemed like straight shooters, fully transparent and would be able to solve my issues efficiently. (I knew this job would be T&M rather than pre-quoted as it's impossible to say how long something like this would take). But Nancy in the office was wonderful to work with scheduling the work and she gave me the hourly rates ahead of time so I knew what I was going into. I was fortunate with my timing as they just had a cancellation - so they were onsite the very next morning. They solved both of my issues efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and made the whole process extremely wonderful. If you're reading this saying "I just need an electrician or two to come by and fix a couple of lingering items that I've had on my checklist for awhile" - you've found your company. The invoice/bill for the work was emailed to me the following day and it was exactly in line with expectations (a lot of reviewers are cautious about seeing an invoice after the fact). The pricing was exactly in line with the rates previously given and it was itemized with materials, etc. Anybody would be very happy with this group."

"I was looking to have some work done on my condo and was hoping to use people from the Waltham area as I wanted to support local businesses and came across PW DiMasi Electric here. Peter and his team were excellent. He was very responsive and scheduled an appointment to give the estimate pretty quickly. When he came to give me the estimate for my living room he mentioned that I should probably also have my dining room light rewired as the building my condo is in is very old so more than likely the wiring was old and not in good shape. At first I thought he might be trying to drum up some extra business (because of bad past experiences with contractors) because my job was so small (it's worth mentioning that Peter was one of the few electricians that I could actually get to come to look at the job in person to give me an estimate, the others I called said the job was too small and not worth their time) but once he took the dining room light down it turns out he was absolutely right about the wiring. I am so glad he was so insistent about replacing it. His guys came right after the plasterer took the ceiling down so it would cost me less to have the work done but unfortunately because of the insulation that was in my attic they couldn't drill holes in the lath for the wiring and boxes so his guys had to go up into the attic which at the time (it was July) was boiling hot . They were always very polite and respectful of my home and did a great job cleaning up after themselves every day. They also always came when they said they would. Peter checked in every few days to be sure I was happy with the work being done. I would not hesitate to recommend using DiMasi electrical and should the need arise in the future, I would use them again."

"Carmen and his team did a great job on helping me upgrade my panel as well as change my meter box. I also had an old wooden mast that they changed out and replaced with a much nicer modern fixture which was great. My house was old and I actually bought it many years ago as a forclosure renovation. So some of the previous work was old and not done correctly. Carmen, Shawn and his team were great to work with. I was worried that no one would take the job because the previous owner had not done a great job. "We just moved to our new house not long ago and we found our electrical stuff are a mess. One room did not have ceiling lights; another one have 2 dead outlets. And there was no labels in the panel to tell us which break controls which part of the house. Laku responded to my Angie's List request very quickly and gave us a free estimate at the same day with pretty reasonable price and told us he can start work as earlier as this Saturday! On Saturday, he was arrived on time and worked our electronically issues very professionally. They added a new wire for the dead outlet and the no light room. And then he check our panel and pointed our our panel wiring issue and rewired safely them with small fee. And then he and his co-worker were going up and down server times to test all our breakers and labeled them nicely. Since our ceiling fan was not coming on time, he had to visit our house on the next following Wednesday to finish work. And it was another nice experience with him. They came on time again, knew exactly what they needed to do and installed my fan and upgraded all my 2 prong outlets to 3 prongs within 2 hours. And they cleanup house. When they left, we have a nice tidy house with all lights, ceiling fan and outlets working! I highly recommend Laku. And we will definitely call him if we have any other electrical issues."
