"Sign contract April 4th 2025 was told would take two to three weeks this job was removing pressure treated and replacing with composite material we picked out samples from local building material outlet and showed so-called supervisor what we wanted was told he would be ordering them funny thing where we got the samples all items were in stock at least a week delay items had to be special ordered what we were told another special order for the railings another week delay called or message several times to correct mistakes July 4th is just around the corner job is still not complete"

"Following a home inspection I needed some odds and ends electric work done. Add 4-5 GFCI, ground a few plugs, etc. Also there were two knob and tube wires totaling under 20” in length that needed replacing. Items that most handle homeowners can do but I wasn’t allowed to because of the selling process, etc. I also needed it done within 7 days. A guy from Cox Electric came to my house to give me an estimate. (I’ll get back to that…) The guy that DID come to fix (Bill from another company) took 3 hours, did a beautiful job, and charged me $850. What was Cox Electric estimate? $3250. With materials costing under $50, this comes to over $1000/hour. While not against the law, gauging homeowners that are going through the process of selling a home is unethical."

We checked in on progress and the plans for the day almost every day and he was very flexible when we decided to make changes (which happened multiple times). He worked closely with the town inspector to make sure everything was up to code. We were also living in the same space that needed work and he and his team were good about covering things up and minimizing dust as much as possible. "Mallozzi Electric did quite a bit of work on my home. I hired them based on Angie's List recommendations. Over 60% of my house had knob and tube which I had replaced. This was a tedious, time consuming job, no matter how it is done. Gary tackled one room at time. I would clear the room, cover items that could not be easily moved, and then Gary would cut small notches in the wall and ceiling where necessary. Where possible he accessed items through the attic or basement to minimize disruption. The notches are about half the size of a deck of cards. The goal was to run new wiring where needed and then rough patch the notches. As Gary would work through a room he would ask if I wanted anything changed, especially if the current setup no longer made sense. My house was built in 1940, and the NEC today is vastly different, so I had him make changes as he went along. Depending upon the amount changes and the difficulty of a given room it took about 2 days per room on average. Additionally, I had my service upgraded from 100 to 200 AMPs and had my circuits split-up to better meet the current NEC. Since he was upgrading the service I had add a Sense energy monitor installed which is very interesting if you would like to know more about your energy consumption. All in all the job took about 2 months keeping in mind some weeks he worked other jobs. Gary was upfront about cost and there were no monetary surprises. Gary was on time on provide me with a reasonable schedule about the weeks he was able to work on my home. If he was running a bit late he would let me know and was responsive with regards to communication. His quote was detailed and he stuck to it."
