"Overall I was impressed. John was able to see me promptly, even though when I called I explained that it wasn't an emergency. He arrived on time to the appointment and got right to work. He checked with me before proceeding with the various stages of work, answered my questions, and cleaned up after himself well. He was affable and able to explain things to my non-mechanical mind clearly. In the end, we determined that the problem most likely lay with the electrical outlet rather than the dryer (all the electric connections in the dryer were sound and there were no signs of electric scorching in the dryer itself). That said, the dryer has been performing well without any problems since John's visit, so perhaps it just needed a tune-up and the worn out part replaced.
I would definitely hire John to come out again. I felt like he worked hard, explored various options when the cause of the problem wasn't immediately clear, and that he charged a fair price for parts and labor. (It wasn't a discounted price, but it was fair and I had no problems with it.) In total, he was there about 3 hours."

"Hugo Flores arrived during the time-frame given to us (the early end!), and was very professional and knowledgeable. He found the problem right away, gave us a quote, and proceeded to replace the defective parts. We had a different company work on it in November, so when making the appointment I gave TLC all the information on our hot water heater, and part that was replaced then. So before coming to our service call, Hugo picked up the parts he might need. He was so efficient and informative. And the price was very reasonable. This company prides itself in its' honesty and fairness, and Hugo certainly personified those qualities. We have found our "go-to" company for plumbing, heating, and air conditioning!!"

"For the washer call I purchased the annual maintenance policy which was well worth it in this case. The Technician was professional and perfored to our satisfaction with the exception of the first call when he missed the defective board problem. Perhaps that was not his fault and the boards were weak but not yet failed according to their diagnostic equipment.

"Quality of service for the spring and fall changeover service went well. The serviceman, Mat, was very knowledgable. 
My problem was the cost of service. I entered a 1-year contract with Pearl Mechanical on May 1, 2015 to provide the semi-annual heating and evaporative cooler changeover, and annual tankless water heater flush for a total of $198.I misunderstood the terminology of the contract, and was charged an additional $182 for the evaporative cooler service.
When I spoke with Mat during the October 14 service about this confusion, he spoke with Andrew at the Pearl Mechanical office and told me to expect a refund for the overcharge. No refund arrived. In following up, I learn now that the contract that I misinterpreted did not include the evaporative cooler service, and that I had to absorb this service charge. I was told that I was the first customer for Pearl Mechanical to service evaporative coolers. I feel that I was misled. Caveat emptor. Live and learn?

"I have Rescue Link's Single PC Pack which is an extended warranty for my laptop and also has unlimited tech support.  I use the tech support every month to run a PC tune up and it doesn't cost me any sort of fee or deductible beyond what my monthly charge is.  My laptop is three years old and I purchased this warranty earlier this year.  I recently spilled a soda on my laptop and called to file a claim.  This warranty covers accidental damage for laptops and tablets so I was able to call to file a claim.  They answered the phone and asked a few questions like: what is the serial number of the laptop, what operating system do you use and about how much did you pay for the laptop.  After answering these questions, they told me that my claim was approved and that I would receive a postage paid box within two business days.  I received the box with the materials required to safely ship my laptop.  It was actually kind of funny because they even provided a premeasured length of tape to close the box.  I filled out the paper asking for my password (so that they can get into the computer to make sure that the repairs were completed) and took the box to the UPS drop off site.  Two days later I got a call stating that they received the box and would start repairs.  Three days after that, they called me and told me that they had everything except the keyboard fixed and were just waiting on the new keyboard.  Two days later, I was told that they had the keyboard and would be shipping me my repaired computer and I should receive it in two to three business days.  All said, it only took seven days from the time that they received my computer for me to get it back.  They even cleaned it.  I am very happy with this service.
