"Finish Carpentry Services did a wonderful job with great attention to detail. Mr. Siegrist designed and built a mantel with Shaker style panel work. The pilasters below the mantel shelf have panels on three sides and a pair of short panels below the mantle shelf above the fire box. Above the mantle shelf is a large two layer panel with pilasters on the left and right directly above the pilasters below. The mantel has 2 ft. wide side walls with two Shaker style panels each. The top of the mantel is finished with a wood soffit to fit to the sloped ceiling and a decorative crown molding. A vacuum system was used to contain the dust while sanding. The quality, workmanship, and customer service is five stars! This project was our first project to use Finish Carpentry, and we would definitely use this company again for future projects and highly recommend to others."

"I was very pleased on how this all went. After several attempts to get estimates from other painters who never came through, I found Fresh Coat on Angie’s List. They came out as promised to look at my house and I had a written estimate within days. Everything was spelled out on the contract and any questions I had were promptly answered. The owner, Jimmy comes out on the day the work starts and goes over everything again to make sure all is in order. They take their time with the prep and the painters came every day until the work was finished. Jimmy then comes out again to walk around to make sure everything is done correctly. "A large tree fell on my home during storm & I hired another contractor to complete repairs which included replacing 9-12 rafters/sheathing/shingles, re-building small front porch & adding 3 windows to sunroom. Original contractor installed the windows & did a lot of work on the roof but were very slow & work was sub-par.....they also had issues getting project permitted & I finally had to let them go. I was in a real bind to get repairs completed as I was in the middle of re-financing house when the storm hit. I contacted Commonwealth & they were able to come out & assess what needed to be done. They got the permits right away & got started. Most of the previous work had to be re-done....they removed the windows & added headers & proper support & re-installed, repaired roof & re-built front porch. All work was done professionally & in a timely manner. Also installed interior trim (baseboards/windowsills/frame) in sunroom, which I requested at the last minute, so house would be ready for appraisal. They did a nice job matching the original trim on older home. Would definitely hire again."
