"For over a year we've been trying to figure out a solution to improve our master bedroom with very high ceilings and large sliding glass doors which access the second floor balcony.  What made it very difficult was the large arched window above the double glass doors. A big half circle of glass which went from one edge of the sliding glass doors to the other.  Lots of glass and sunlight, which we love, because we have a wonderful view to the lake we live on.  But early morning sun makes it tough when you want to get some extra sleep on sunny Florida mornings.  We did not want some cheap paper fan to cover the window to control/block the sunlight.  Talked to lots of providers and finally, with the help of Angie's List, found Charlie's Home Decor. Carlos came to our home one evening and showed us lots of options.  Carlos has such patience with us and made it fun.  He showed us options we had never thought of before.  We wanted something that was functional as well as stylish.  We decided on large, custom made Plantation louvered doors that matched the existing wood color of our laminated floor.  I could go on and on about the caring, professional conduct of this company and people.  Their one goal was to make us happy, doing everything possible to balance our desires while fitting the project into our budget.  We did not want a quick, cheap fix.  We wanted something which was going to last for twenty years and still look good. This is our home and we plan to be here for a very long time.  The doors finally arrived and are installed.  Truly a work of art! That is not an exaggeration!  Better than we could have ever imagined!  Plus these folks come back later to put finishing touches on the project after initial mounting grout and plaster have dried. (baseboard area) he inspected the area thoroughly plus a few other areas and stated that based on the area involved and my own comments regarding my "handyman experience"  so far with the house, we decided that it would be more cost effective (as he stated that this was a weekend project of about 4/6 hours or less for the average homeowner) to do the repairs myself using the helpful suggestions and directions he gave me. "As I was lowering my garage door at about 1:30 in the afternoon, I heard a loud pop and the door dropped down slightly on one side. I discovered that a cable had broken on one side. As we a fairly new to both this house and the area, I wasn't sure about who to call. There was a sticker on the door from Door to Door Enterprises. I was doubtful they would still be around since this house was built in the mid-90's and most other suppliers/installers are long gone. I checked online and found they still had a listing. Then I noticed an Angie's List reference and immediately checked them out. Everything seemed good so I decided to make the call which was answered by Yvonne who had to pull over to take my information. I was pleasantly surprised when she advised me that Earl Jr was working not to far away and would be over that afternoon. Around 5:00 PM Earl called to say that he would be leaving his current site and would get to me around 6:00 or so. He arrived just after 6:30 and proceeded to repair my broken cable as well as the two broken hinges that I didn't know about, retuned the lift and made the door function more smoothly and quietly than before. As a parting gesture he programmed both of my vehicles to operate the lift which I had been unable to successfully accomplish. He was a very charming and competent young man who made sure that my garage door was functioning and that our home was secure for the night. I couldn't be more pleased with the responsiveness and professionalism of the Company. <br />"
