"They were very professional. They came in matched my color to the cabinets perfectly. If you want a big project that involves your kitchen cabinets refacing I highly recommend The Home Depot. I never went to the store everything was done in my house. Great Job."

"Very professional. Shannon came at the end to see how it went and if there were any questions I had, and asked me to call if I found anything that needed more attention. The girls were finished but had not left yet. They came back up to the house and washed the outside of the windows as well, which was very nice. I was fine with them catching that during their next visit, but they gladly took care of it right away. They were detailed in their cleaning and I haven't found anything that was missed."

"We worked with Ali (sales manager) and Tony (project manager), who took the time to design a project that made sense for our property and our budget, made a number of suggestions and recommendations and were never pushy or tried to "sell" us on something. The crew really went above and beyond to provide top quality workmanship and overall we were in very good hands. Highly recommended!"

"They were prompt, competitively priced (although not the least expensive), and did great work. Our cabinets now look brand new. They got the job done on time and within budget. They were careful not to track dirt or other construction debris in the house. We are very satisfied."

"Met them at Home Show...very nice and informative......the samples shown looked like what we wanted.  So we called and set up an appointment for him to come out and give us a bid.  Day of the appt., the time scheduled came and went.  We called.....he said he had forgot, but came out later that day .  He gave us a bid for the cabinets to be painted and mentioned he knew someone that could help us with the counter tops and that he would call to give us the information.  Never got that information..He called to see if we decided on the bid; we said we were getting one more bid for the cabinets and were still waiting for the counter top information from him.     He did not call again.    We found another company to do our cabinets and counter tops.

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"They painted some cabinets, wood railings, front door and walls. They did great quality work at a really good price. Especially on the wood railings and cabinets that used special skills they did excellent work. The main problem was that his crew always left a little something undone and that it took a lot of time to get them back to finish those items but they did come back and get it done. He was also hard to schedule in the first place he is apparently very busy."

"The nylon screening on our crawl space vents had rotted out and animals were getting in under the house. Kyle came out and redid the screening using nylon and metal mesh, fixed the frames as needed, and anchored the frames to the foundation. He was thorough and professional and the work was well beyond anything I could have done. He is also a very nice guy!"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Kalama, WA

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
