"I want to express my sincere gratitude to Easton Roofing, especially, AJ Lawrence, for the outstanding personalized service he provided solving & repairing my roof leak. Even though this wasn?t their responsibility, they took ownership and reached out to me and resolved the problem. It?s rare to find someone so willing to step outside their lane to help others.I truly appreciate their dedication to getting this rectified for me. EASTON ROOFING is a company that is not just about short-term gains, but long term satisfaction & retention of their clients. They truly stand behind their business message of ?INTEGRITY MATTERS?. It?s always a great feeling when someone goes above and beyond. Taking ownership is a powerful trait in professional settings. THANK YOU to AJ LAWRENCE!!"

"I wanted to choose zero stars for a rating about BORDNER ROOFING OF RAYTOWN, MO. Our roof was leaking so bad we had a kidde pool in the livibg room catching rain water. I gave them a huge deposit. When it started getting too cold to roof I went to their office after they kept my huge deposit for 3 months. I told them to give me my money back & they refused. I said it will be too cold to roof it properly. They promised the shingles would lay/seal down when the sun comes out & warms them up. 3 months later in the spring the shingles didn't seal down !!! They also nailed the shingles too high !!! I met with them again a few months ago in their office & they kept saying, "We stand behind our work" THEY ARE SUCH LIARS !!! They came out a few times & put silicone or tar under some shingles that buckled up or folded back. That didn't help. 5 sections of the roof are having the same problem. This isn't acceptable !!! I had 5 companies inspect the roof & they all said it was very bad workmanship, it was too cold & the shingles were nailed too high !!! I contacted the BBB & Bordner lied to them & BBB closed the case. I have photos, documents & video to prove my case !!! They damaged my home, my gutters, my lawn, some plants, they took 21 days to do the roof...other roofers said it shouldn't have taken more than a week. ☆☆☆☆DON'T HIRE BORDNER☆☆☆☆"

"I wish I could give more than five stars to Downunder Roofing! I had the pleasure of working with Geoffrey throughout the entire process, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their quote came in at a better price and with a higher-quality shingle than any of the other four companies I spoke with. During installation, the team was professional, respectful of my property, and did an excellent job cleaning up afterward. I highly recommend Downunder Roofing—if you need a new roof, call them!"

"The Best EVER Customer Service I have experienced with a Contractor. The manager David Floyd was at our home the entire time overseeing the Contractors work and was there to answer questions we had while they were installing our new roof. By the way we LOVE our new roof and referred our neighbors to My Contractor KC. Also they give Veteran's discount if you served in the military. Have nothing but exceptional things to say about this company, manager David and the installers. "

FAQs for asphalt shingle roofing installation and replacement projects in Kansas City, MO

Roofing professionals can usually install a medium-sized asphalt shingle roof in two to three days. Installation time increases if your roof is particularly steep or difficult to access or has features like chimneys or skylights that roofers must work around.

Three-tab asphalt shingles usually have the lowest upfront cost of any roofing shingle material. They’re sturdy and typically last 15 to 20 years. However, they may have a shorter lifespan in especially hot or cold climates. Talk to a local roofing professional about the best materials for your climate. In some cases, materials with a higher upfront cost may save you more on repairs or replacements in the long run.

Start by multiplying the length by the width of your roof to calculate the square footage. Most shingle replacement costs $4 to $12 per square foot for materials and labor, depending on factors like the material and the slope of your roof. Once you know the size of your roof, you can calculate a rough estimate of total costs or contact a local roofing professional to provide you with a custom quote.

Asphalt shingles are generally considered to be a low-maintenance item. However, cleaning your asphalt roofing can help prolong the lifespan and keep it looking fresh. If you’re comfortable with DIY and have the proper equipment, you may be able to clean your asphalt shingles yourself. However, if you have an especially high or steep roof, it’s usually safer to hire a professional roof cleaner.
