He had great suggestions on areas that we were unsure of.  He plugged  up the nail holes and caulked top and bottom of the molding. The costs reflect the quality of the finished product so even though they might not provide the cheapest estimate, it is well worth it to pay a little more to have them do your project. When they did the deck it involved removal of an old brick patio laid on a foundation of sand held in place old, rotten railroad ties They were able to remove it without damaging our yard or surrounding plantings. They even used some of the bricks to build an attractive low brick wall to hide the deck supports and did not charge extra for that little bonus. They also worked with us to keep costs down. Upon completion they carefully cleaned up the site."
