"When I called for an estimate on running a couple speaker wires for my home theater, the owner was nearby and came by personally. After we talked some, he understood my monetary constraints and exactly what I wanted to accomplish, what I wanted from them, what I was going to do myself that they didn't need to bother with, and what prep work was already done from my own failed failed attempt before calling them. With surprising and refreshing honesty, he advised me that low voltage work like that could be done cheaper by a handyman than a licensed electrician such as himself. As he was already here, honest and very clear about what i wanted, I decided to go with him anyway since his rate was less than half of the last electrician I used (MAC 5, what a rip-off), and since they were licensed electricians and not handymen, I added on another full voltage electrical job which has been on my to do list for about a year. In less than 10 minutes he had someone here starting the work which he personally supervised through every step. Talk about honest! I have never seen electricians (or anyone who works hourly) move so fast! They worked very hard to be sure to get both jobs done in 1 hour so I wasn't charged for a second hour. They did a great job cleaning up when they were done too. Kanda is definitely going to be my go-to whenever I have any electrical needs in the future."
