I had many roofs installed over the past several years none of which seem to work due to the pitch. The most recent roof I put on was a metal roof, which was the source of many of the problems. After Lou inspected it he told me what needed to be done and after agreeing on the contract he started immediately. They are prompt and professional and both him and his son Nick are two of the kindest human beings I ever met. They told me they'd be here at 8:00 a.m. and they were here before that, they started at 8:00 and we're done by the end of the day. Lou and Nick kept me posted each step of the way and during the removal of the metal roof they showed me what went wrong and explained why it went wrong. In short it was because of companies or people that install roofs that don't care about their work that care about ripping off unsuspecting customers. "this is a review about what went right. Caroline called me within a couple of hours of my inquiry on Angie's List. We set up an appointment for that same day with Steve. He reviewed the roof and proposed project, which was to replace the asphalt shingles. I was originally thinking about a metal roof and he provided me some good perspective on this choice. He left me with a detailed proposal which covered everything. Two days later we signed a contract for this job. Although it has been a really rainy season they completed this job within the estimated timeframe. The crew and dumpster arrived on the arranged day. My house is kind of small but I was surprised when they finished in little over six hours, including cleanup. The clean up was done as they proceeded and they left my yard in better shape than when they arrived. The roof looks great and just in time for our first snow. When I realized I needed a roof I got a bit scared as there are a lot of scams out there. But these folks were above board and professional in all of our dealings and I would definitely recommend them."

"Our project manager, Manny, and crew supervisor, Jorge, did a great job with our roof replacement today! Manny was very communicative and helpful throughout the repair. Jorge and the crew were efficient and did a very thorough clean up when finished. Our only concerns revolve around the initial reason we scheduled a repair, which was due to a ceiling leak after a rain storm. The sales person that came out was very nice and informative. He told us that while he could not determine the source of our leak, we needed a new roof. However, in our naivete, we forgot to wait on our insurance assessor before making any decisions. Post insurance assessment, we had a hard time getting answers from either the project manager or sales manager, and just moved forward with the replacement hoping it fixed our issue. Long story short, while the level of service and overall customer service were great, we had a major repair done that may not even be related to our issue. Our roof likely could have waited for a repair. Service=excellent! I would 100% recommend, just make sure you actually need a new roof."

"Working with L&L was a very positive experience.  They were professional and responsive throughout the entire process.   A previous contractor failed to properly flash the chimney when he  installed a metal roof.  As a result, a signification amount of water was coming into the building. L&L fixed this issue in a timely matter and the quality of work was excellent. In addition, they were conscientious about cleaning the yard and building when they completed the task.

"A soft wall due to improperly installed gutter by some other entity or homeowner caused water to constantly leak into the wall from the exterior roofline. This soft wall grow moldy and become riddled with pests/bugs. The contractor identified the potential issues, agreed to explore and open the walls and discuss the conditions, made sound recommendations for repair and did exactly what was noted in the repair (replaced a load bearing exterior wall, fixed the sill plate, completed the roof, shingles etc. and closed up the walls on the inside with insulation and sheet rock.). The work was timely, well done, the workers were clean as they did the job and kept the rest of the property clean. The manager of the job David Apel was and is an excellent communicator with phone/email/text and photos of processes and progress. I am going to use this company in my own investment endeavors on other properties and projects given the level of finished work, the timing and especially the level of detailed communication."
