Bill Taylor arrived on time on 10/13/18 to provide a free estimate for the roof removal and replacement. He explained the entire job in detail and was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. In addition to roof replacement, the chimney needed a new crown and regrouting. Also new gutters needed to be installed. I had received a call from their office staff to schedule installation date and expected time of arrival. The crew and material arrived 7:00AM as expected and work started immediately. "This was a complete and positive experience in dealing with a contractor. Contacted JJs Roofing through the list along with 2 other companies. Had email and phone contact with the principals of each company and arranged for persons to come to the site to evaluate the project and make accurate measurements for a more detailed proposal. Within the same day of making the evaluations, I received 2 competitive bids to do the job. The third competitive bid was submitted sometime later after I committed to JJs and had the work completed! The scope of work was similar in all aspects and there was only a slight difference in the price. To their advantage, JJs proposed to do the job in 3 days while the other bids proposed 5 or 6 days. Because this is winter and the weather plays a huge factor in the roofing business, I opted for the 3-day make over where nice weather was predicted. In dealing with JJs owner John Johnston, he was helpful and extremely accommodating. He was mindful of my own circumstances of having to travel from out of town to be present during the project's work days. I was extremely grateful for this consideration. Once I accepted the JJs bid, a crew was sent back to the job site to remeasure for the replacements skylight and the access door. These are custom items so it is important to be accurate. The day of the job, JJs sent a crew led by Hector Ramos who along with another worker had done the preliminary evaluation. The men went about the job with speed, efficiency and care. The unusual break in the weather was great incentive for the men to work. After the first day, the old roof was torn off and general repairs to the underlying structure was begun and completed. The roof was covered with a tarp for the night. Day two, the men showed up promptly and continued their work. When I ventured to the roof top, Hector took the time to explain in great detail the entire process and timetable for the work. Because there where other elements involved beyond just laying down a new roof, I appreciated his explanations. I had a skylight replaced, a new roof access door installed, the relocation of the main drain and installation of a down spout, and the replacements of vent caps. The entire crew were courteous and extremely professional. By the end of the second day, I was sure I had made the right decision in choosing JJs. The final day and Hector assured me they would be finished on time and before the expected rains would come. I glanced at their progress throughout the day and saw the work completed on time. The men were extremely careful to clean everywhere debris landed in or around the work area on top and on the ground. When they left, the entire area was spotless! It was great having the highly skilled professionals from JJs Roofing working on this project. It is with high confidence that I recommend JJs Roofing for your roofing needs. "Milestone did a very good job at repointing (removing the old, crumbling mortar and replacing it with fresh, new waterproof mortar). Mik is very professional and is fair in his pricing. Communication with him was never an issue. His crew are very nice guys who did an excellent job. The finished job did not look like someone fat-fingered the mortar into place. Instead, the mortar lines are straight and clean. I would absolutely hire Milestone again."

"After Hurricane Sandy, half of my mother's roofing shingles had blown off of her home as well as causing chimney damage and a water leakage problem from the chimney into the interior of her kitchen. After checking Angie's List for contractors, I hired City Wide Construction & Renovation.
After viewing the damage, Mr. Nadeem Mughal gave me a very good estimate for all of the repairs. His crew were always on time; they worked expeditiously and neatly and all were very respectful to Mom. Nadeem was a pleasure to speak with and was always courteous and professional with anything I asked of him. They matched the shingles as perfectly as they could, and the roof never looked so good.
They patched and repaired the leak coming into the kitchen which had caused damage to the wallpaper. After repairing the leak, they removed the damaged wallpaper; they supplied the wallpaper glue and then cut the portion of the wallpaper that Mom had saved, and patched that portion of the wall so well, that you cannot even see where the damage had been.
All three problems were beautifully repaired, and Mom and I are both very pleased. Nadeem guarantees all of his work for 5 years, and THAT alone says a lot about the contractor. I would highly recommend Nadeem and his men. Job well done.

"It was a difficult project requiring the removal of current siding, then significant patching, sanding and carpentry to prepare the original clapboard for paint. The crew was very hard working and super creative when it came to solving problems. They showed up on time every day and finished the project according to schedule. The price was very reasonable and no surprise charges. We are very pleased with AAA and would highly recommend them."

"Unlike some of the other people we called to get quotes for this job, Michael was at our house within a day of us calling him.  He was very prompt with his quote, and while it wasn't the cheapest, it was the most detailed and had us feeling fairly confident in investing with him.  Michael was also sensitive to our budget, telling us which windows needed to be replaced, and which could, at least for now, be protected in the short term until we were able to afford replacing them.  He also suggested replacing two of the fixed windows with awning-style windows - a nice addition that has improved airflow in our house.

Although he quoted us 5 to 7 weeks for installation, the windows arrived weeks early - a pleasant surprise.  Michael was true to his word - we didn't spend a dime more than what he quoted us, he cleaned up the mess before he left, and he had the job completed within two days (more like a day and a half).  The windows look great, and do a better job of matching the house's trim than our previous windows.

A few minor issues... some of the external caulking cracked and fell out within a week of installation - Michael was told us he will come and take care of it.  Windows were left pretty dirty and trim was marked up (primed, but had black marks on it, which will make it tougher to paint); a bit of dry wall needed to be spackled and was done a little hastily.  A few plants outside one window were trampled.

Overall, though, a very pleasant experience.  No tracking of dirt through the house, very easy to work with, and Michael had answers to all our questions.  Unlike some general contractors who also do windows, Michael really seems to know his craft - he was able to find the right windows for us at the (relatively) right price.  We'll be coming back to him when it comes time to replace our other windows!"
