"Overall experience was positive. The diagnosis was good and only required a $15 part that was able to install myself. My frig is working great. While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. I will be recommending this my family and friends."

"I had a question about microwave repair. He answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately new parts are no longer available for model in question. He gave me part # if I wanted to call around for a used part somewhere. Got lots of good info."

"Can't praise Premier Handyman services highly enough! Two technicians arrived at the assigned time and promptly began the installation of our downstairs kitchenette: base cabinets, counter top, sink (to existing rough-in), wall cabinets, and a ceiling fan bracket in our main kitchen. They were fully prepared, knowledgeable about the job at hand, polite and mindful of our personal space, and paid close attention to not only the installation but also the cleanup. There was NO wasted time and their rates were quite competitive with others in the area. This is our second service from Premier Handyman and will definitely use their talents in the future should the need arise. Additionally, I have already recommended them to others in my immediate area!"

"Excellent service! The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Over the years, I've had several home appliance warranty companies. Without question, Complete Appliance Protection is the best one I've ever contracted with. Their monthly price is a little higher than most, but I do have their best protection plan with $0 deductible. You get what you pay for..."

"I had flooding in my basement and after the drying and installation of a sump pump system, I needed a lot of reconstruction. This involved replacing carpet with vinyl plank flooring, some framing/drywall work, painting, tiling, etc. As always Mark and his crew did a great job. In addition to making sure all the work was properly completed, everything was also left cleaner than they found it. I really appreciate the attention to detail."

"They did a very good job.  They do Knoxville and Sevierville.  It was on a bad, cold, snowy day.  He still showed up on time and called to let me know he was coming.  He told me about the system and what they do.  He made a headache for me go away instantly after he did it.  He had new equipment and a new truck; it cleaned out the whole system within an hour.  He resolved problem I didn’t even know I had.  When they built the house, they put a device on that’s supposed to suck all that stuff up.  The builder never told me it was up there or what to do with it.  We had to take that off, get rid of that, and he recommended that we clean it out once a year.  That's better than putting something on your house that might start a dryer fire, and which you know nothing about.  I was ready to go to the appliance center and have somebody come and check my dryer and they were the ones that recommended that I get the vents cleaned out first before I go to them.  His price was reasonable since he had ladders and equipment.  He had to go on top of my house and everything.  I think it was a bargain compared to a new dryer.  I haven’t had any problems since the month he has done it and the dryer works like a brand new dryer now.  He just didn’t walk in here and start teaching me anything.  I actually wanted to know more about how they built this house and what needed to be done to maintain the system, so he spent some time talking about that with me.  He also told me that it should cut down on my electric bills.  It used to take 45 minutes to dry my clothes, but now it is done in 10 minutes."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Kingston, TN

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
