"I was satisfied to the point of filing them away for our next project. They did an excellent job and they did not charge an extravagant price. They were not the lowest bidder, but I did not feel warm and fuzzy with the low bidder. I will have these guys back."

"Alex also installed a new water heater. The repiping and install of tub/shower was an excellent job. The install of the water heater was wonderful and his commitment to follow up issues with the new water heater went above and beyond. His communication about the project never left us in the dark. He arrived on time as scheduled, always cleaned up work area , and was respectful to some health challenges of my parents whom live in the home where the project occurred. Would recommend A to Z Plumbing any day!!!"

"Two weeks earlier we had Washington Plumbing and Heating clear a clogged toilet soil pipe after our housecleaner lost a sponge down the toilet.  The charge was $196 including tax and standard service-call fee.  The job was apparently done successfully, but the toilet again became clogged a few days ago.  We called again to make another unclogging appointment.  The technician arrived on time, unclogged the toilet with more robust equipment, and -- without any evidence that the two clogs were related, refused any payment -- not even a tip! <br>"

"We highly recommend Pioneer Plumbing. We used them to replace our sewer line and water line a few years ago, and we just had them replace all of the plumbing in our 100 year old house. It is wonderful to have good water flow and pressure in the house and we can rest easy knowing that everything has been done well! My husband and I also enjoyed the experience of working with them. After they gave us the bid and we decided to accept it, they scheduled us within 2 weeks, they showed up on time, provided us with good advice on where shutoff valves should go, and did excellent work. Per our recommendation, our neighbors also just hired them to do some major plumbing work and are highly satisfied. Will and Cedar are excellent workers and we enjoyed getting to know them."

"<p>hemsley personnel  were very professional and informative in all that they did.</p> <p>I called in response to a mailing from the state regarding discounts offered for septic tank inspections/pumping.</p> <p>I was able to get an appointment within 1 week of when I called.</p> <p>The first man who came out helped find the septic via dropping a magnet down the toilet at no charge to me.showed me where it should be and did not discourage me from digging it my self (to save a few hundred bucks) Its the last time I do that I tell you it was a lot more work then I thought.</p> <p>I decided not to use the discounts the state was giving as I did not want them in my business any more then they already are.</p> <p>The next man who came out pumped the tank.  This was more difficult then usual as the septic had not been emptied in 30 years.</p> <p>I opted to get a new pump as it was a matter of time before the 30 year old one would give out.  I also got risers installed so I would not have to dig or pay someone else to dig later on (which will be every 5 years not 30).</p> <p>It all cost about  3000$.</p> <p>They were very good about explaining all that they were doing.  What an education.</p> <p>I did not feel pressured to buy.  They provided information    pros/cons    and allowed me to make the choice.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I would highly recommend this company.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>  </p> ) <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Kingston, WA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
