"I called Tad from American Rose Garden last spring to discuss options to bring our lawn back to life as it was not looking the best! Tad arrived on time and was very easy to talk to. He was polite, personable and knowledgeable. He informed us of the pros and cons to option 1) re-seeding the entire lawn and option 2) laying sod. He kindly costed both methods out for us to help in our decision. After some consideration, we decided to have new sod laid and have the instant gratification of a nice lush green lawn. At the same time, we also had Tad and his team clean up the front and back yards, lay down fresh mulch and put in a few new shrubs. Tad’s team were polite and hard-working and they transformed our yard beyond recognition. Tad was rightly concerned with how our new lawn was going to get sufficient and regular watering, particularly with summer around the corner. He recommended getting an automatic timer and advised me about the type of sprinkler to buy and where to place it to ensure that all areas of the lawn would be watered. Tad later came back to install our new timer and help get our watering system set up correctly. Even though this took up most of his morning and involved a trip to the hardware store, he refused payment for this return visit. I was so impressed with this company from start to finish. Tad and his team were wonderful and I would not hesitate to recommend American Rose Garden to anyone looking to rejuvenate their landscaping."

They also installed an intricate and elaborate drainage for a new lawn to replace an existing drainage system put in by another contract which only resulted in a dead lawn that had been overcome with an even worse water problem. "Update: Carlos contacted me and came out to the property and reseeded the problem areas. He adjusted sprinkler heads again to ensure that the new seed gets sufficient water. He also left the remaining bag of seed for any future needs. I have adjusted my rating of JS Landscape and Excavation as they did stand behind their work. I wanted to be able to give Carlos a good review, as everything started out so great. He was quick to reply, quick to come over and give a bid and started the job on time. He was very communicative...until he was not. We had Carlos and team excavate our existing yard, bring in soil/sand, and hydroseed. A few sprinkler heads were broken in the process, but Carlos and team fixed them and came back out to reposition them. Here is where it goes bad: we were the last hyroseed of the day. Carlos ensured us that this was a good thing because we would get extra seed. Not the case. I think being the last of the day meant that the seed was spotty at best. We have many areas where there is no grass growing, and it has been well over a month since the hyrdroseed. I have contacted Carlos by phone, email and many texts, including photos of the areas. Originally he said he would be back out but the date came and went and there was no communication. Now, I am left with a yard that is not worth the price I paid. Apparently JS Landscape and Excavation does not stand behind their service or product. I have attached photos so you can be the judge. Perhaps if you are having sod put down, use JS Landscaping, but if you are doing hydroseed, buyer beware! The other companies I received bids from guaranteed the hydroseed. I assumed JS did too. I guess I am the fool for assuming. A lot of money for essentially a cr***** result."
