"I had a very old garage that was falling apart.  It needed removal and I needed a new garage.  The contractor I hired, Lo's Contracting, recommended Premier Design as an option for me to get plans drawn so that I can have consistent bids for the project. <br /> Prem, the owner of Premier Design, came the next day to meet with me.  After listening to what I wanted and looking at a couple of photos of garages I had, he took measurements and discussed the kind of services he can provide me. Those services included drawing up detailed plans of the garage.   Although it was clear where my old garage was, my actual property line was not clearly established.  I therefore decided to hire a seperate company to survey the property and then Prem was able to complete the plans. <br /> I reviewed the detailed plans and Prem responded to all my questions.  He also made a minor adjustment of putting in two windows instead of one. Prem also went to get all the permits needed for the project.  All I needed to do was to get my contractor to start the project. <br /> I did end up hiring Lo's Contracting and the project is almost complete (I'll do a seperate review for that when the garage is finished).  <br /> Prem's plans were so thorough that the contractor and sub-contractors could follow everything and at each step of the building, inspections were passed on the 1st check. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"They did a real good job. They were real professional. We can now open the garage door from the inside of the house and now it is so smooth that we have to check to see if we hit the button to open it or close it.  Before we used to know when it was opening or closing because it used to make a noise. It helps when you move to a city where you are new. "

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Klamath Falls, OR

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
