"SAR does great work. An intoxicated driver took out the culvert and rock flower bed in the front of our home. I had a hard time getting someone to give us an estimate and our neighbor gave us SARâ  s name. They gave us a fair price and the the project was completed in two days. "If I could select zero stars I would! I've been trying to resolve a very poor install of my gates for over a month and no-one has been out yet! No communication. I was told my case worker is out sick. Finally someone else did call me but I have yet to hear back from them. I guess they just wanted to put a check in the box that they communicated with me. My gates were not level, were installed without the steel post beams, no drop rod on 5ft heavy gates!, and the post caps keep flying off because they were not glued on. Now every time we have a windy day, I come home and my gates have been blown open and a side piece of the gate was also blown off by the wind! The fence was installed by one guy on a super hot day and he kept calling his boss for install instructions. This should have been at least a two man job. The installer was also not the person I was told would be doing the install, but ended up being a sub installer of the subcontractor! I have resorted to filing a claim with MD Home Improvement Commission as well as started the process to file a small claim since I can't get a response from them. Oh.... and I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET AND INSTALL post hole covers myself because they NEVER got back to me and the rain and spiders kept filling up the hole. I can't make this stuff up. They are TERRIBLE! Don't use them! You were warned."

"Initial rep was great and informative. Felt comfortable with initial sale. Hardly had any contact from customer service except for the payments. There were several delays that we were not informed about unless we called to ask. Took 7 months before they showed up to begin project. Only 1 person was sent to build steps. Took a week. Hard worked, hardly took a break. Had to call again to see when they would come to pour patio. Never knew when they were coming, they just showed up. Hardly spoke with the homeowners. Inspection paperwork was just left on porch. Additional paperwork that is "required by the County" had to be completed by homeowner and taken to Court house to be notarized and filed and also provide a copy back to Long Fence. Time sensitive materials which added to homeowners to-do list. Gave this contract to LF on the surface of their history and appearance of a 'good local company' but should have stayed with original contactors in VA. Puddle of water forms when it rains"
