"The tester was well versed in this area even showing the areas that were high in moisture. Very friendly and informative as well as professional. Made me comfortable with the experience she had. When the owner and maintenance worker failed she made me comfortable. Fae who had the credentials as well experience explained everything in detail. Definitely use Fae!!!"

"Representative arrived before the scheduled time (which was not a problem for us).  We requested lead paint testing of the kitchen area where some minor modifications were to be done.  Testing was a requirement from the contractor.
He offered to test other adjacent areas at no charge.  He was friendly, polite and the whole process took less than 30 minutes.
Lastly, the cost was considerably less than other vendors, including the one referred by the big box home improvement store.

"We can't say enough wonderful things about Ron. He spent over an hour with us, going through the house. He explained how mold works and put our minds at ease (we had been told by another mold company that we had mold inside the house. Ron found none.) He went into the converted garage and immediately knew there was mold (he really is a detective). He smelled the air and tested the walls. Everything he told us was correct. There was black mold under the floor boards and on two walls. He told us exactly how to get rid of the mold and then he came back FOR FREE again to evaluate the situation. When we offered to pay, he refused. Honestly, I wish we had more mold just so I could hire Ron and pay him for his services. Okay, maybe I don't wish we had mold, but I love Ron- he's trustworthy, smart and well worth any money spent."

"My remediation was challenging because I live a couple states away from the house I own. I had received a quote from another company saying that my whole bathroom needed to be torn out. When AM/PM inspected, they suspected that the damage was not that widespread. Sure enough, when they did the demo, the mold had not spread widely into the walls. I appreciated their honesty, even though it meant a smaller job. Maya came to the house to assess the damage, then remained my point of contact throughout the job. She was kind, knowledgable and professional. She even recommended a 3rd party testing company to come and certify their work. AND all of this happened over the Christmas holiday. I was very happy with the service overall. My bathroom looks great and I have a certificate of remediation for my tenants. Thankful for this team."

"Our experience with Restoration 1 of Irvine was remarkable! We had severe smoke damage in our bedroom from our fireplace, and the entire room and furniture was badly damaged. The crew came out to access, and started work the following day. They were here so professional, and were here for a total of 14 hours over a two day period. We were informed of each step throughout the process. There are many items on our walls and our ceilings are very high, and everything was removed, cleaned, and put back perfectly. I would recommend Restoration 1 of Irvine to anyone needing repair in their home from any damage. We have given their information to our HOA because they are so good. It has now been 3 months, and they are still checking in with us to see 7f everything is good. They feel like a family business who cares about their customers, and we are very appreciative. "Mold was found behind the walls in our master bathroom during demolition for a remodel. We contacted 3 companies for mold remediation estimates. Circle Vision wasn't the cheapest, but their review of the site and estimate was the most thorough, and they made us confident that they would do their best to reduce the amount of additional repairs that would be required after remediation was over. Carlos was the lead for our project and he did a great job explaining every step of the work and was very easy to get ahold of for scheduling. Gus Jr. and Gus Sr. conducted the remediation at our house for 2 days. They arrived on time each day, protected the floor with paper, vaccumed and swept at the end of each day, and left the house cleaner than when they left. They were very professional and answered any questions we had. They left an air scrubber at the house for a few days to make sure all traces of mold were gone. They left the dining room wall covered with plastic so our toddler and cats wouldn't get in to the unfinished bathroom. When the inspector returned, he found everything was done to the letter and we passed inspection with no problems.

FAQs for toxic lead testing projects in La Habra, CA

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a strong chance it contains lead-based paint. Many pre-1980 houses also contain lead in their plumbing and decorative materials, so age alone is a significant red flag. Older homes near industrial areas face an even higher risk. Because you can’t confirm lead by sight, scheduling a test is the safest way to protect your family.

In older houses, lead can lurk in painted trim, window sashes, soil around the foundation, plumbing pipes, and even vintage hardware. The metal is toxic, and children and pregnant women are most at risk. Exposure can trigger developmental delays, learning problems, and organ damage. Because the EPA links even low levels to serious health effects, test every suspected surface and address any hazards right away.

A positive test means lead is present somewhere you can touch, breathe, or disturb. The next step is a full risk assessment to map exactly where the hazard lies and outline the safest fix: encapsulation, enclosure, or full removal. Repairs start at $1,000 but can exceed $10,000 for complete elimination, so act quickly and hire certified pros to keep your family safe.

EPA lead certification proves that inspectors, risk assessors, and abatement contractors follow federal safety rules under the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program. The credential costs an average of $300, and certified professionals can legally test, contain, or remove lead hazards. Hiring a certified pro protects you from fines and ensures the work meets strict health standards.

Lead-based paint looks no different from any other paint, so you can’t identify it by color or sheen. Even flawless walls may hide it. If paint starts chipping, flaking, or peeling, schedule a professional test right away. Only laboratory-grade testing confirms lead and guides the safest fix for your home.
