"After purchasing an Angie's List Deal, I received the measuring kit in the mail promptly. The template and instructions provided to draw my split table top and each of the leaves were easy to use and understand. I mailed the completed materials and received the table pads very quickly. The table splits in the middle to allow insertion of up to 3 additional leaves. The table also has 2 drop leaves. That's 7 pads. All fit perfectly. I have used them on the table for family parties (not every day) and they're durable and built to last. I keep them in the box they arrived in to protect them when not in use. These are a worthwhile investment."

"Carlos is an incredible carpenter and should at the top of your list for any project. While refacing and building new cabinets we changed our minds a couple of times on the look we wanted and the answer from Carlos was always no problem I can do that for you. When we couldn't find French doors to fit an off sized door he and his crew just built them from scratch from a picture. He then built a perfect fitted laundry room table with wheels also from a picture. Couldn't recommend more highly. Carlos and his crew are the best."

"Our kitchen is 35 years old and needed to be reconfigured. We elected to modify the existing cabinets and pantry rather than totally ripping out and replacing. Rafael worked with us to redesign most of the drawers and cupboards - their size and functionality. Rafael then removed all the doors and drawers and reconfigured for the new arrangement. While we had the kitchen painted Rafael built all new drawers, new front panels and new cabinet shelves and doors to suit the new arrangement. The original cabinet structures had been built in place and had their "anomalies", things not quite square, not quite plumb. To make all the new doors and drawers fit properly, Rafael needed to do minute adjustments to his doors and drawers to make it all look exactly right. This he did. The kitchen looks great! Rafael and his son, Seth, would put in long days, working quietly and always cleaning up after each day's work. There was one hitch in the work. Rafael had the new doors and drawer faces made by another man who was set up to do this type of work. In the middle of our job, Harvey flooded many houses (not ours) and the other man got seriously backed up with new work; so our doors and drawers were delayed several weeks. The finished kitchen is now a joy to work in. It has a thoroughly modern look. We love it. I can highly recommend Rafael. He is very easy to work with and is a really nice man who is very honest and trustworthy."

"It was very worthwhile to use this service because the decorator answered some critical questions and kept me from making costly mistakes.  It is a good place to start and the price was right for what she did.  She spent 30 minutes on the phone talking to me but before that she spent a significant amount of time looking over photos and measurements that I submitted to her by email. She put a lot of time into the consult.  This service would be great for choosing wall colors, flooring, and fabric for furniture.  I will definitely keep her contact information for future projects.

"Kelli came by to look at our kitchen and provide an estimate.  She was extremely knowledgeable and had excellent ideas.  She really listened to me and understood what sort of look and feel we were after, and she had brilliant suggestions--such as reconfiguring some of our drawers to maximize storage.  We felt like we were in great hands from the start!  The estimate came in within the same ballbark as other bids we received from several other companies, but Kelli really stood out for her ability to conceptualize what we described.  The next step was to choose our design, hardware, stain, etc.  Their showroom was very helpful, and again the team was flexible, understanding, and responsive.  We ended up doing something unconventional--a little risky-feeling--but with everyone's input it turned out fantastic and elegant looking!  The cabinet installation team (Tony, Ray & Monteyo) were timely, polite, professional, and hard working.  They cleaned up after themselves and took care in performing their work.  A lot of worker crews we have dealt with on other projects with other companies were, frankly, loud-mouth and often uncouth  Not these guys!  They carried themselves with professionalism and seemed considerate of the fact that we still were living in our home and using our kitchen.  How refreshing!  The project is almost complete, as I write this entry, and we are very pleased thus far!  We cannot wait to see the finished product.

"If you need to remodel and live in GCR Builders service area, use this company. We called Scott Barker, the owner, originally to re-texture the ceiling in the living, dining and kitchen of our second home in Bayou Vista. We then asked him to install new tile flooring, Silestone countertops, marble mosaic backsplash, farmhouse sink and faucet for our kitchen. I mention the materials we used because it was all very labor-intensive to install well. His group did a fabulous job. His cost estimate for the job was accurate and he completed the job in a little less than a month after we picked out the materials we wanted. With us living and working in north Texas, we needed someone like Scott who kept us well-informed (but not excessively so) even though we weren’t there during any of the work. By the time we saw the work in person, it was complete and clean and exactly what we wanted. We plan to use him again to redo our bathroom in the same house."
