"Called Tom's based on Angie's List recommendation.  Scheduled a meeting with the owner, Tom Shaver, to discuss project and to get an estimate for the work my wife and I wanted done.  Tom listened to our input, took measurements, made suggestions based on his extensive experience and provided an estimate the same day.    The price was reasonable for the amount of labor and materials involved and we scheduled a start date for the middle of the next week.  The two man crew was there early on the day planned .  The whole job took 3 full days and came out great.  There was even excess topsoil left over that the crew graciously offered to haul to the backyard and spread around the flower beds. What makes Tom better than the average landscaper is that he approaches the job not just as a landscaping project but almost as a work of art.  He wants the plants positioned properly in proportion to each other and the surrounding area. He doesn't just plug one in here and one in there.  His knowledge of the plants themselves and their growing characteristics was also evident.  He also does not rely on a hard sell or try to upcharge you.  The price came in right as estimated. Tom offered a 1  year warranty on the sprinklers, a 3 month warranty on the sod and small plants and has agreed to trim one of the more prominent plants for 2 years at no charge.   "
