"Contracted Federal Building and Roofing with Richard and his team after Listening to Richard's suggestions during the estimate. Had bad water damage to many Rafter Tails as well as a severe leak in the garage, Had several Contractors out for estimates some wanting to go a much more expensive route to repair the damaged wood on the Rafters as well as suggesting a complete Torch down on the entire roof which was not needed, which came with a less than desirable Warranty along with higher costs. Richard gave me peace of mind with his knowledge and suggestions which in turn provided a much longer Warranty and cheaper more effective route to repairing the damaged Rafter tails,all at a very reasonable price compared to other estimates. Any Contractor should have been able to provide me with these suggestions and alternatives but failed to do so. Richard and his team were Professional, polite,cleaned up thoroughly each and every day and completed the job on time as scheduled."

Within a day I received an email with a quote that was comparable (even a little more attractive) than the other half-dozen quotes I had received. He came out to inspect my flat roof and took the time to thoroughly explain its condition. He mentioned that my roof was very flat and would need to be hot mopped—a service he doesn’t offer. What stood out most was his honesty. He explained that a torch-down roof, which other companies were pushing, wouldn’t last and would likely start leaking in just a few years. He even advised me to place my AC unit on a metal platform when the new roof is installed, as the current wooden one I have is not up to code—something no other inspector had mentioned. Not only was Adam honest, but his expertise was clear. While I’m disappointed that he doesn’t offer hot mopping services, I would have hired him in a heartbeat if he did.
