"<p>Mr. Dove didn't do the work.  It was two of his employees or subcontractors.  The installation of the wiring, ceiling fan and ceiling light went fine, but the drywall repair wasn't that good.  The texture they sprayed on the walls didn't even remotely match the existing wall texture, so their patch job was obvious.  Also, they didn't reconnect something in one of the outlets so only the top socket worked.  When I notified Mr. Dove, he came out the next day to fix it.  I was impressed by Mr. Dove's professionalism, and would hire him again provided he did the work.  </p> <br />"

"Working with Andy was a unique experience. Soft-spoken, thoughtful and very knowledgeable about plants, hardscape, materials, etc. We walked our property with Andy, reviewed some books about styles we liked in landscape design and talked about maintenance, water, lighting, etc. for about an hour. Then, Andy heads outside with his clipboard for about another hour or so. To our amazement, he produced a detailed, professional, labeled (genus, specifics, cultivar) plan that included the hardscape and water feature we requested as well! Granted, our lot is small but nevertheless, without a drafting board, computer, etc. he produced a plan in hours. Andy said larger homes would require more drafting but for our house, his freehand skills are more than adequate. We are now out to bid and will have Andy come back to do the plant placement, etc. when the installation is ready to go."

He figured out the circuit panel needed new breakers, and he also figured out that one LED ceiling light was dead (I got a new CFL fixture instead and Tony installed), and the switch on another light was triggering flickering (he replaced switch). Henry listened to every request I made, paid attention to every last detail, and truly understood what we were going for. His vast knowledge of plants, trees, sod, concrete, brick, patios & fountains is truly impressive. He came up with ideas for repurposing items we were going to scrap to help us financially instead of gouging us for his benefit. We had a total of five bids before we chose California Custom Landscape. Of those five bids, Henry was the only person who wrote the bid based on what WE wanted. There was a ton of demo, grading for new lawns, new drainage installed front & back, all new sprinkler design, brick work, concrete resurfacing, rock, new plants & shrubs, trenching for lighting, and fountain repair. <br /> <br />When it came time for selecting plants, Henry met me at a local nursery to pick out what I wanted & liked, listening once again to what I was able to maintain myself & directing me to what would look & work best for my needs. I felt very involved, understood, and was given top notch information & knowledge. To boot, while we were there, a past client & her husband who were there shopping noticed Henry. They ran up greeting him with hugs & sharing how wonderful their landscape still looks after many years. That speaks volumes to me about a company! <br /> <br />Once our project was completed, Henry returned to give me a lesson in plant care, fertilizer, mulch tending, mowing, water scheduling, etc. He showed me how to maintain everything. I'm telling ya, the company really cares about the client's happiness! <br /> <br />It's very apparent that this business is built upon honesty & integrity, extensive knowledge of product & design, passion for what they do, and sincere care about the clients happiness. We never felt once that this company was in it only for the paycheck. From start to finish, they were courteous, adaptable to our scheduling needs, impeccably neat & clean, on time every day, and a true pleasure to have working on our home. We were sad to see them go, but now we sit back marveling at their handiwork and showing it off to everyone. <br /> <br />We can't recommend California Custom Landscape enough! "I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to install a motion light onto an older, rectangular junction box. After many trips to the hardware store, I finally threw in the towel and turned to Angie's List where I stumbled across Nick at The Electric Connection. "1. Called on a Friday for work that I wanted done a week later.  Call was not returned until the following morning.  Apparently, he was out of cell phone range during the day. <br /> <br /> 2. The work was done on a Saturday morning.  No extra charge for Saturday work. <br /> <br /> 2.  The electrician, Dennis Jones, arrived on time. <br /> <br /> 3.  After he arrived, we went over the details of the job.  He then gave me an estimate as to the labor hours involved plus any parts.  <br /> <br /> 4.  I agreed with the estimate and he then proceeded with the job.  He then left to go to Home Depot to get some parts.  Was back quickly and began working.  <br /> <br /> 5.  He did a nice job on the rewiring in the garage.  The new switch turned on both the inside and outside lights.  With the inside light switch now working, we did conclude the light fixtures themselves needed to be replaced.  He then made another trip to Home Depot without charging for the extra travel time.  <br /> <br /> 6.  The installation of the wall mounted light fixture in the family room also went very well.  This was replacing one that no longer worked.  We had already bought a new one.  He removed the old one, and installed the new one to the height that we agreed upon.  <br /> <br /> 7.  The bill that I received was in line with the estimate.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I had thought I purchase two hours of electrical service only to be informed that the actual work scope was essentially limited to changing light bulbs, fixtures on an existing circuit, or trouble shooting an existing problem....things that I can handle for the most part on my own. Even if I had all the materials to add a fixture onto an existing circuit, that was not considered part of the contracted scope. I also had been trying to arrange for someone to be home during period of time that service could be performed, and finally arranged for someone for an entire week (starting Monday 3/20) to permit the work to occur. The ADI scheduler informed me that all next week was taken."
