I called at 9am and they had a man, Tyson, available.  By 11am he was out and within minutes he had diagnosed the problem.  Cut it out and reconnected the wires securely.  He was familiar with the old wiring, knew how to deal with the old fixture, and I didn't have to purchase a new fixture.  No parts involved.  The previous company I called said I would have to purchase an upgraded fixture and have it available before they would even come out. Tyson saved me a lot of personal time and effort and was well worth the minimum $85 service call.  The other company was $105 for the first hour of diagnosis.

We had to make a few adjustments to the scope of work but he handled it efficiently and painlessly. Gerald is a hands on contractor, listens to the client and pays attention to details. "We selected Portland Electric to add a 240V circuit for a new hot tub. After inspecting our electrical service and panel, it was determined that to add the circuit the panel needed to be upgraded to comply with current electical code. None of the other bidders even bothered to mention this. I found this single thing the deciding of which contractor to select. The work went smoothly. Mark is a true professional. He was there every time he committed to. He was on time, very concerned about impacting our living space, did a great job on the panel replacement, even did sheetrock repair after the new panel was in."

"I called Jack a week ago and he told me that he would be here this week.  His crew (4) arrived at 9 a.m. today.  Under Jack's supervision they spent 5 hours working on the property.  My home is on a very large lot with three tiers of grass in the back.  All I can say is that they did a first rate job and did exactly what my instructions were.  His price was very reasonable, too reasonable.  Based on other quotes that I had received, one of which was twice the amount quoted by Jack, I remitted more money to him than what his quote was.  Jack put me on a monthly maintenance program for a very reasonable price.  His crew will be here once a week to maintain the property.  I highly recommend this company for your yard work."

"My mother had used DRG for a back yard remodel at her house, and had noted how pleased she was with DRG's initial quality of work and responsiveness to issues that arose. From start to finish our project took a little longer than anticipated (in part due to our "change orders" and in part due to their busy schedule), but nothing exceptional.
The crew was quick and efficient, and quite conscientious, maintiaining a clean workspace. I was especially happy that despite not being ready to start on our project they went out of their way to get the loud demolition work done on our old concrete slab prior to my wife having a baby (so she wasn't at home with a newborn with all that racket going on...).
Todd clearly cares about the work they produce, and was mindful of getting things done right while also fitting them into budget. When the final invoice came, he had even given a discount because they had not needed to use as much bark as the original plan had anticipated.
