The installer was terrific. He got there right on time and took out the old carpeting and hauled it away and then installed the new carpet in two hours.It looks beautiful. "Marian , the contractor, showed up 18 minutes after the first call!! He then looked around my cafe, came into the basement to see the underside of the floor and said it would be simple. All I needed was about 450 sq. ft. of flooring installed and I was providing the flooring itself from a reclaimed lumber company in Missouri. He said he'd email me with a quote by the next day. He had the quote to me before I got home that day!! This guy is really responsive!! The kind of responsive we all want, but know we usually can't have because people are busy and things come up. At no point did he or his crew deviate in any way from what they said they'd do and how quick they said they'd get it done!! The first day they got started with the subfloor around 10:00 a.m. They started a bit later because, due to the previous holiday of July 4th, my flooring hadn't actually arrived yet, but was supposed to be there that day. Anyway I was doing my own work in the basement while his guys ( two of em) worked upstairs. I was sort of endlessly checking up and down the street for the UPS freight truck kind of nervous about it actually showing up on time. It did and I didn't even know it!! I heard louder than usual noises coming from upstairs and went up to check on his workers to find them off-loading all of the flooring from the UPS truck parked outside. 1400lbs of flooring and they just started loading it into the shop without getting me to help them. Next day they show up at 7:30 and work straight through till about 3:30 or 4:00 p.m. getting about 90% of the floor laid. Wednesday they showed up again around 7:30 in the morning and git the install done, cleaned out the place, began sanding, cleaned again, laid three coats of sealer, buffed that, then a final coat of sealer and were done by 3:00. Prompt, clean, no dust, and best of all they used a water based sealer which meant no smell, no petrol based product and four total coats in one day. You just can't do that with oil based finish!!! These guys are amazing and my floors are phenomenal!! Can't recommend them highly enough!!!
