He's all about writing up the contract and buying the materials. He planned to finish trimming out a window in a shower using wood, with no water proofing. I googled some waterproof solutions, but because they were more complicated and intense, he wanted out. Do not hire this guy, he could care less about you and your project!"

When the technician arrived, he decided to charge a significantly higher amount than what was quoted for one of the services. Rather than stopping to inform me of this change before proceeding, he continued working without my knowledge or consent of the price change. To make matters worse, he added a 4th service that I never approved. When the job was complete, I was handed a bill double the original estimate. I understand that estimates are not guarantees, and I am a reasonable person. However, there is a basic standard of business ethics that requires a contractor to notify the customer before proceeding when costs are going to increase substantially. That did not happen here.
