"AVP Fence did an outstanding job, at a very fair price. Paul was responsive, and the work got done very quickly. Part of the job involved replacing a section of fence, including a corner post, that had been crushed by a large fallen tree. AVP not only made the fence good as new – including replacing the post while the ground was frozen – but they also were willing to cut and and remove the tree to an unused area of our property. All-in-all, as good an experience as one could hope for. In future, AVP is the only company that I'll be calling for any work on my fencing. About a year earlier, we were considering creating an enclosed area in the yard for our dogs. We wound up deciding not to go forward with that project, but I worked with Paul at that time, too. He was incredibly patient with and responsive to changes that we made in the plans, and his proposed price was very reasonable. My experience with him then was so positive that I didn't hesitate to call him else for this later job, and I'm glad I did."

I reached out to Harold based on his listing on Angie's List before I bought my home--free of charge, he took a look at the roof on a property I was considering buying--giving me an estimate and advice. His help led me to find that the sellers were dishonest about the condition of and work done on their roof, and I purchased a different property in Hudson, NY. My home is a 1927 Craftsman that needed quite a bit of work. I hired Harold based on his honesty and responsiveness in helping me evaluate the first property. True to form, his estimate and ultimate cost to repaint the entire interior, repair and sheetrock floors and ceilings, refinish and replace hardwood floors, completely remodel a bathroom, rewire and install light fixtures, match original woodworking, install cabinetry, windows, and appliances, and even assist with installing new furniture, were more than reasonable. Better yet, the quality of his work was of the highest caliber. He has restored and improved a lovely home, and I am so thankful! I have to say that most of all, I am so happy with Harold's professionalism and diligence. Not every contractor is known for staying on the job and completing it on time. Especially in my situation, where I am a single woman trying to restore a second home when I live out of state--I assumed I would have difficulty in getting any contractor to be present and complete the job on time.
