"JC and his crew were very professional, friendly, detail-oriented and on time every day of the job. They did immaculate work. We had significant rot in a large area of our home due to a water leak. They removed all of our hardwood and subflooring, reinforced joists; installed all new subflooring, underlayment, floor tile and wall tile, baseboards, drywall, and painted. They matched our existing paint, matched our grout. It looks like nothing ever happened. They also removed our bathtub and vanity and replaced them with care. I would highly recommend them! "

He is licensed and insured, which was a must for me, and he does not subcontract, something I really valued after past experiences with inconsistent work. I purchased all the materials ahead of time, including the LVP and baseboards, and his pricing covered demo, labor for install, appliance removal and reset, and the dump fee. He also replaced my old baseboards with clean, modern 1x4 square trim and removed all the quarter round I no longer needed. David was courteous, knowledgeable, and coordinated smoothly with my other contractors. I truly felt at ease working with him and highly recommend."

Rental sanders can address moderate surface damage, but their effectiveness depends on scratch depth and overall floor condition. Drum sanders offer the most aggressive removal capability for deeper imperfections. However, if the damage extends into the wood structure or affects large portions of the floor, board replacement by an expert might be necessary before sanding. Consult a flooring professional for help.
Always thoroughly review the manufacturer's operating instructions before starting. Wear appropriate safety gear, including goggles to protect your eyes and a respirator to prevent inhalation of dust. Inspect electrical components before each use to prevent shock hazards. Sandpaper requirements depend on floor size, condition, and the sanding approach. Plan to use multiple grit levels (coarse, medium, and fine) with at least one to two sheets per 100 square feet for each grit. Purchase extra supplies before beginning because running out mid-project can cause visible inconsistencies in the final result.
