He did a professional job on installation and it looks good. It matches our house so it doesn't stand out. "I had a very unfortunate experience with a misleading sales rep. In December 2022, a sales rep named Ryan came out to my house to show me my options. He suggested that we have a perimeter trench dug around the basement with a well and sump pump. He went over the options with me and told me about the amazing sump pumps that 58 Foundations & Waterproofing has...they are battery back-up in case of a power outage. I was excited about that because it gave me peace of mind. Let me be clear when I say that there was only a SINGLE option presented when it came to the type of sump pump they provided. Ryan gave me the option of a battery back-up and no other options. The install crew comes out, does a fantastic job, and gets it all done in a timely manner. 5 months passes and we have some bad storms rolling in. I wanted to be sure that the sump pump battery was still good, so I open the lid of the well to check on the battery, only to find out that we have a pump without a battery back-up, like I was told by my sales rep we would have. I reach out to the company to see if the battery is hidden inside the pump. After 24 hours, I still haven't heard back from the company, so I reach out to the sales rep directly. He tells me that I didn't purchase the battery back-up pump and that he would be happy to sell me one for an additional $1,500 (I am sure he would be happy to sell me one). I contacted the company to see what resolution we could arrive at. I have basically been told at this point that I did not purchase one even though the sales rep told me I was getting a battery back-up pump. A battery back-up was VERY important to me. The SC manager for 58 Foundations & Waterproofing called me today and offered to sell me one. But I cannot bring myself to pay for something that I was told would be included. She told me that the invoice does not show a line item for the battery back-up and that the invoice only lists "sump pump". But, how was I supposed to know that "sump pump" didn't mean the battery back-up pump that the sales rep told me would be included? How was I supposed to know that there would be a separate line item for "battery"? They have relied on the ignorance of their customers to take advantage. Everyone who gets one of these systems, make sure that you actually get what your sales rep told you...because I did not. And at the end of the day, of course the company has blamed me for the miscommunication. The SC manager told me that there was just a miscommunication and that she was sorry that I did not understand what I was purchasing. In reality, the reason that I did not understand is because I was misled. Until this issue is fixed and a battery back-up is installed free of charge, I will continue fighting this issue."

"Paul Davis Restoration was recommended by our insurance company when we sustained damage to our porch from a fallen tree in March. The man who came out to inspect it assured us that the estimate would be uploaded to our insurance by that Wednesday. Wednesday came and went...no estimate. I called the Asheville office, where an employee told me that the report had to go through a "third party to be approved" before it could be submitted to State Farm. 'Mike' hadn't explained any of this to us. This woman assured me that it should be submitted no later than "next Wednesday." Yet another week passes...no estimate. I called the office again, where I was told that I needed to contact 'Mike' for any information. I did just that, and he claimed that he was not in the office, and that he would have to check on it when he got there. Another 24 hours passes without a phone call. When I called him again, he casually mentioned that this mysterious "third party" had sent his report back to him for a couple of corrections, and that it should uploaded to our insurance by (you guessed it) no later than that next Wednesday. ('Mike's customer service skills certainly left something to be desired.) Once more, nothing. The next time that I called, I asked to speak with someone in charge. I was given the name of the owner, 'Sharon.' The first couple of interactions with her were positive, and she seemed very helpful. Yet, once again, this "third party" was blamed for the significant delays in sending our estimate to State Farm. After a couple of communications back and forth, my husband and I were extremely frustrated by ANY lack of progress. I finally texted Sharon and asked her to send our estimate directly to us. She informed that 48 hours after the estimate was finalized, that they were 'allowed' to give it to us, and she would email it to me in the morning. Next day? Nothing. Once again, I had to text her and ask that it be sent to me. Sharon claimed that she thought she had sent it, but would send it again. And, since I'm writing this review, you can guess what happened...NOTHING. We NEVER received a copy of our estimate. I called State Farm, where one of the agents handling our claim said that they had finally received it, but that he doubted they would pay out the total amount for the work, because it looked as if the estimate given was excessive. Needless to say, it is over a MONTH later, we still have a severely damaged, unstable porch, and are looking for another contractor/restoration company. I have since heard from reliable sources that my husband and I are not the only ones who have had bad experiences with this particular office. Delay, excuses, confusion, and lack of meaningful customer service were the only things that we took away from our encounter with Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Asheville."

"Shade and the team have been amazing working on getting rid of existing mold as well as installing a vapor barrier. Our house is small and older AND we were on a budget. I know we were not their biggest job by a long shot, but they worked with us and treated the job with the same time and care as the biggest job. They even noticed a leak coming from the bathroom pipes that was part of the moisture problem and helped fix that. Bonus points for getting to meet LLama the cheweenie on the job!"
