"Major complaints- delay in starting the job - He started over a month later than promised. He removed drawers immediately; reasons for delays included: supplier delay,drawers were so old that they came apart and he would have to put them back together, best craftsman were deported. He did not initiate any calls regarding reasons for delays. Problem #2 - original estimate included laying hard wood flooring in all three apartments. After I made a price comparison I found another contractor to do this job for approximately half the price he was charging. Cost of flooring was not canceled from original estimate. I should have gotten a refund of $1,299.28 after subtracting the cost of the floors. He indicated there would be a $998.00 additional charge for materials (including $98 for the door pulls that I had already paid for). Consequently I received a refund check for $300 and a later refund check for $98 which was the cost of the door pulls; a total of $398."

"Andre was very professional.  He arrived within the time frame specified, and called to notify us of his specific arrival time. I was charged with an additional $100 for a primer and $30 for travel fee, both fine print that I did not realize (the company is out of Tinley Park I believe)  I am still unsure about the finished product as it looks textured (after the second visit it no longer feels this way)  I had also wanted to have my tile surrounding the tub sprayed, but the cost compared to other re-finishers was at least double if not triple.  Beautiful Finishes quoted me the entire surround and tub for about 100 more. I wish I would have known the total cost for tub and tile beforehand, as well as the travel and primer costs.

"We first encountered Hermann Remodeling as part of our complete kitchen and powder room remodeling. They were hired by our contractor, ARA Cabinets 4U, to do the demolition of the old and the installation of the new cabinetry. We liked their work so much, we hired them to paint the powder room on the spot.  We later had them paint the rest of the breakfast area of the kitchen and replace the doors.  We had competitive binds from another firm regarding the doors, but chose Hermann because they did such excellent work. They are punctual, give a full day's work, and do a meticulous job. All of the crew are highly skilled and it is a pleasure to watch them work. They are friendly and clean up after themselves. We plan to have them replace several interior doors later this winter.
