"I’ve used Michael twice now. The first time, he replaced a rotting old set of back steps and resealed the foundation along the side of our house. The second time, he fixed a dripping utility sink faucet and replaced a light switch in a crowded bathroom electrical box. Both times I was very impressed with Michael’s service. He is flexible and easy to schedule with—plus he was very patient when I totally mixed up my days of the week and had to change plans on him at the last minute! He comes when he says he will, does what he promises, and charges fair prices. He also makes sure the job is done right. After he fixed our steps, the gate into our fenced yard no longer latched (the gate had been installed to meet the edge of the old, sagging steps, and needless to say, the new ones don’t sag). When I showed Michael the issue, he immediately brainstormed a solution and came back a few days later to fix the problem. He is also very knowledgeable about his work, and he is very up front about what he is doing and why. I actually picked up some home improvement knowledge just from talking to him about the jobs he was doing for us (for example, he walked me through the light switch replacement as he did it). All in all, Michael is trustworthy, reliable, and does good work. I would certainly use him again and I recommend him to anyone looking for a handyman with a wide range of skills."

"21st Century Windows is fantastic....at every level. They installed my windows around 3 yrs back. I've had a couple of issues with the windows, and every single time Cody and Mark have taken care of me. I had a warranty issue with my windows...no problem. Just recently, I needed an adjustment on my Pella door wall, no problems. Cody sent Tom (one of their installers), who took care of the door. These guys are awesome! I highly recommend. When Cody says "for life", he means it."

"John was very punctual, came in time even it was snow today. He repaired my mailbox very well. He was very dedicated in his work, very organized. After reinstalling my towel hangers in restroom, he even painted the adjacent wall to look pretty. He brought accessories like hinge pin door stopper with him to install in the door. He did not leave any waste/garbage, kept it clean. He was excellent. It appeared to me that he really care for his customer. His price was reasonable."

"Not sure where to begin with this second review! My first review was early on with this just completed bath remodeling. I am writing this on February 26, 2020. The final inspection was just this morning! In good faith we hired Northwest construction, Dearborn, MI. and signed a contact 10/ 19/2019. We we’re brought our final bill on February 8th 2020 as the Project Manager was in need of going out of town. Billing was increased due to unforeseen circumstances and overages of materials. Even though we were told in the beginning that he estimated high end pricing for us, often items wanted were said to be “out of stock or discontinued or, just unattainable”. At that point, out of utter frustration, we’d just seek out the item and purchase it! In fact, the final delay ( of one entire month) was a simple bathroom door with glass insert. This was a desired door wanted very early on in this remodeling project. We simply walked into Home Depot and ordered it!! I am not upset about the additional pricing, as it is fair. I am however, extremely unhappy with several other things... 1.) TIME FRAME: at first being told the job would take from a few weeks to a month. It took 4 months! When the final bill was presented, we asked, “Did the company owners ever say anything about the extreme amount of time this job took?” The answer was; “ No, They don’t care!” Clearly!! Next, is the (“unforeseen”) damage done to the rest of our home during this ongoing project, due to carelessness ( in my observation). Plumber fell through the lower bath ceiling, HVAC pounded through the stairwell wall and, the “dustzippered partitions” (being taped for so long) took dry wall as removed. Then, poorly patched and touched up with paint that doesn’t match! We lived with holes in the walls and, ceiling along with plastic zippered walls taped up since November (yes, through Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and Valentine’s Day). This was very unacceptable!! The actual construction work is nicely done. The finishing work ( paint, Wood trim, attic access door, projected heat vent cover ( left projecting put from wall 3”???) is the worst construction work I have ever seen done by a professional! Busted and old in poor condition wood trim was reinstalled,after being poorly patched, as part of the finishing of a new project. There was a lot of miscommunication, procrastination in obtaining materials. There was the lost tile episode??! Additionally, tile was miscalculated and costly overages occurred. Then, two weeks scheduled time off during Christmas (unbeknownst to us until Christmas was on us). Unfortunately, for NorthWest, we live in a neighborhood where many are looking to updating their homes. We were ask if the bathroom could be viewed, when it was noticed that the advertising sign was taken away ( end of January) I had to simply tell them the job is not, yet completed and I highly recommend them NOT to consider Northwest Construction, a company “who doesn’t care!”"

My only issue was the agent that looked over the windows to the estimate never said that the double hung windows couldn't be repaired but would have to be replaced. I was taken by surprise when the workers came and told me those were not part of the repair. I didn't get that from the estimate either."
