I had a gas leak last week in the heart of the coldest weather in ten years: PSE&G just shut off the gas and left; and Alex was the only plumber who responded, to my urgent calls for help as the house cooled down. He was reassuring, came that day to take a look, arrived punctually with a helper the next day, and did a 3-hour repair (it involved work outside and in a crawl space) quickly, efficiently, and professionally. He cleaned up thoroughly, and left me with heat back on and hot water restored. PSE&G came the next day to remove the red tag and approve his work. All this for a third of the price the big companies wanted to charge me! "I was very impressed with how quickly the technician identified the problem and restored operation of our water heater. We then discussed how to proceed given the age of the device. He explained several installation alternatives to my wife and I . We discussed the choices and selected one that satisfied our needs. As previously stated, the representative was able to restart the existing water heater so we have hot water now, but we chose to replace it due to its age.
