"My wife and I recently had Ventura Brothers Landscaping do some landscaping work at our house (removal of 6 boxwood bushes, grinding an existing tree stump, removing and grading an existing portion of the mulch bed area, and reforming the new mulch bed area). Jose was easy to get a hold off and scheduled a time for an estimate later that week. After meeting with him and explaining what we needed done, we scheduled with Jose to have the work done a week later. "I met with the owner Micah Dean on a Friday we talked through all the yard issues. He listened  understood exactly what I wanted done.  He said the entire job could be completed in five days.  Although it rained on one of the scheduled work days, they still completed the job on time.   There were several different crews working from fencing to landscaping and they were all very professional and  responsive as the job progressed.  After some of the large bushes were torn out from between the houses I asked if an 8' shrub (after the fact and 3 days into the project) could be placed in the side yard to provide some privacy right at the kitchen door.  The next day... there it was!   When the project was completed I could not believe the transformation.  Micah and his crew really enjoy what they do, and customer satisfaction is important to them.  This is reflected in the quality of their work.  
As a side note, I also had a very large limb that had fallen and was hanging on the power line (the week before I contracted with Dean Landscaping) from my neighbor's tree.  Micah had arranged to have it hauled away, since it had taken the power company so long to respond.  The power company did finally arrive and removed it, however it was very reassuring to know I had a backup plan.  
I couldn't be more pleased with Dean Landscaping.  I will definitely be calling them in the future to have additional work done.

"I was not home when they were here, but they arrived on the scheduled day. I guess I need to wait until Spring to see if there is any benefit to my lawn. I did talk to the owner before the treatment and everything went according to plan."

"Our pond is at least 20 years old, and had never been professionally serviced or maintained. Jake got back to me very quickly after I first contacted him. He came out a day or two later to take a look at the pond, then submitted three alternative plans to renovate it, starting with a simple cleaning, progressing through the addition of a new pump and filter system, and ending with a complete job including landscaping. We chose the middle option. The first date set for the work had to be cancelled because of the weather, but Jake and the crew arrived on the next date and completed the work in about 6 hours. They put the goldfish in a large tank while they drained the pond, and were pretty careful not to step on the perennials that were just emerging from the ground. It was a very messy job since the pond had never been drained before and was very dirty. Jake came back a few weeks later to plant some of our water lilies, adding one of his own that he brought with him. The pond is completely transformed--clear water, happy fish and plants that we can actually see, and a new pump and filter that do a much more efficient job and are much easier for us to care for."
