"I had 2 20 year old heatpumps in various states of disrepair. I scanned Angie's List for the top 5 recommended HVAC vendors and contacted each. Generally each was responsive but Dan and Mike from A&H were the most forthcoming and honest about what made the most sensible investment for my situation. I had actually planned to go for a pair of ultra-efficient units but after talking with these guys and learning about the 40% raise in efficiency from my old equipment to our new equipment and how A&H met our needs for what our budget was on unit replacement - I got out the spreadsheet and found that it would actually save me several thousand dollars over the life of the investment to go with a simpler unit. I hadn't considered this trade-off and the fact that the A&H guys were willing to share some honest feedback created a good basis of trust for partnering with them on my install.
