Customers say: Quick response

"One of my friends recommended Revival Builders and had used them twice to do extensive painting on two homes. They responded almost immediately to my call, gave me an estimate within two days, and were able to fit me into their schedule fairly quickly. They arrived on time, worked efficiently and did an immaculate job on a two story ceiling with even higher skylights. I would definitely hire this group again.......They are really outstanding."

"Excellent. I was very impressed with the quality of their work and professionalism. They came early everyday and when they left the areas where they worked were spotless. They were honest and transparent in keeping me informed. They even did extra work in areas I did not pay for. While working on my project I had a personal crisis and Luis and his Family came over with a dozen of beautiful white roses and showed me love and compassion. I will never forget that!!! I know have the best house in the neighborhood. My neighbors tell me that all the time. My new front porch and back deck are my pride and joy; my slice of paradise here on earth. Next year Luis will be coming back to install my hot tub. Thank You DMV Pro Services (Luis) you enhanced my quality of life and I am so grateful. 🩸🙏🏾💯❤️"

"Our place had good bones but didn’t work for our daily life. Every room felt cut off from the next. Ben and Teddy from Top Remodeling sat with us and came up with a better layout without changing the size of the home. They moved the hallway, opened the living area, and added a custom touch in almost every room. They rebuilt the inside from the studs and used solid-core doors and clean finishes. We went with soft white walls, bronze handles, and natural maple cabinets. Now, it all feels open and calm. Every room has a purpose."

"I wish I could give ten stars. Came home from Christmas to a literal waterfall in my house. Steven and his crew were absolutely the best team I could have asked for. Understanding, communicative, empathetic and on top of all that, the quality of their work is EXCELLENT. My entire first floor was taken down to studs and rebuilt and it's better than it was before the disaster."

"Kelvin Funes, owner of KF Remodeling is a very experienced contractor in all aspects of home building and remodeling. They have done four jobs for me this year from Feb to July of 2025. Jobs included; shower/bathroom, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting. Some were major plumbing and installation of wired smoke detectors. Not easy but Kelvin always tells me his job is to solve problems. And he does. Twice I needed to call him back to handle small over looked items and he returned promptly to handle them. Kelvin's knowledge, experience, and advice contributed greatly to the success of my projects, I am impressed and well pleased. Thank you KF Remodeling. "

FAQs for kitchen remodel projects in Lanham, MD

Your galley kitchen needs adequate clearance around any island installation to maintain functionality. Most galley kitchens lack sufficient width for traditional islands, as these layouts prioritize efficiency in smaller spaces.

If your kitchen has an unusual width, consult with a kitchen designer who can evaluate your specific dimensions and recommend appropriate solutions. For narrower spaces, consider alternatives like rolling carts or narrow work tables that provide additional surface area without permanently restricting movement.

Kitchen remodels require six to 10 weeks for completion, though timelines vary based on project scope and material availability. Simple updates like cabinet refinishing and countertop replacement might finish within a few weeks, while comprehensive renovations involving structural changes often extend beyond two months.

Planning stages add approximately four weeks before construction begins. Maintaining clear communication with your contractor and ordering materials early helps prevent unnecessary delays.

Common errors include insufficient clearance between opposing countertops, inadequate lighting that creates shadowy work areas, and poor storage planning that leaves countertops cluttered. Some homeowners select oversized appliances that overwhelm the space or invest in expensive features that don't address fundamental workflow issues.

Careful planning, accurate measurements, and consultation with experienced professionals help avoid these pitfalls and ensure your renovation successfully addresses your kitchen's specific challenges.

Whether expansion makes sense depends on your home's layout, your budget, and your long-term plans. Combining a galley kitchen with neighboring spaces creates more open, flexible layouts that many buyers prefer. However, removing walls involves substantial costs, particularly if they contain plumbing, electrical systems, or structural elements.

Sometimes, optimizing your existing galley layout through better storage solutions and lighting proves more cost-effective than expansion. Consult with a contractor to evaluate specific costs for your situation.

Effective galley kitchen lighting combines multiple sources to eliminate shadows and create visual spaciousness. Overhead fixtures provide general illumination, while under-cabinet lighting illuminates work surfaces directly. Consider recessed ceiling fixtures that don't protrude into limited headspace.

Lighting with dimming capabilities allows adjustment for different activities. Reflective surfaces like glass tile backsplashes or glossy cabinet finishes help bounce light throughout the space, reducing the corridor effect common in galley layouts.
