"This is the second time we used Brian for our landscape projects. This project included a large patio with a 50ft long retaining wall. Brian was there every step of the way, from initial design to final execution. The results even exceeded our high expectations. The hard-working crew started early and finished late, always leaving the area neat and cleaned up every day and at the finish of the project. We checked out about 5 other contractors, but Brian's price was very competitive, plus knowing first hand the quality of his work...it was a no brainer. Brian is a great guy and puts a lot of pride into his work......and it shows! Would hire him over and over again!"

"GREAT! From prior to purchase thru completion of installation every member of the staff was informative, professional and friendly. Prior to purchase the owner herself spent in excess of 30-45 min on atleast two occasions with me explaining all the options available, what needed to be measured & checked prior to making a decision and which options would best meet my needs and financial situation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND"

"This is the 2nd time that they have done this for us, the first was back in 2008. Everything went wonderfully. They did exactly what we wanted them to do. Sherry did excellent work and her crew was very efficient. They knew exactly what they were doing and when they needed to be doing it. They worked very well together. They were very quick and very good. The crew was also extremely polite which I appreciated."

"The Southern Concrete Finishing crew came to my site and Graded the area I had chosen to have my steel building erected.  Once they had the site prepared, they built the forms and placed them where they intended to pour the concrete for the footings, and pour the concrete for the slab.  Before bringing in the concrete truck, they placed the anchor bolts required by my metal building manufacturer as required on my blueprint.  They were ready to begin working and finishing the concrete as it was delivered by the concrete trucks.  Once the concrete begun to set up they paid close attention making sure my slab correctly level, and when the concrete had set up, they made the saw cuts they explained to me prior to my hiring them!  I am very satisfied with their work, and their professionalism! <br />"

"What a great guy! An absolute pleasure to deal with! Everything, and I mean everything went exactly like my wife and I envisioned! Joe was fair and knowledgeable and is as attentive to detail as I am, and I'm bad. In addition to Joe, each and every one of the guys he sent to work on our project were polite, responsive, considerate and meticulous. Just an overall wonderful experience and I would highly recommend CreateAScape to anyone."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Laurens, SC

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
