"Hidden fees, gimmicks and falsified labor Do not work with Tim at Tristate. He bid on a quote we requested through Angi. He disclosed his service fee and that he would have an hourly labor charge depending on the tech he sent. The day before the job, he said he was adding a second guy to get the work done "before the cold snap" -- no other reason was disclosed. The men started work around 9:30am. We have a Ring garage camera that records to the cloud, so it wasn't hard to review their arrival and start time. By 9:43am they left to go pick up a small can of exterior paint and a smaller can of stain. We live 5 minutes from Ace and 15 minutes from Home Depot. They were gone an HOUR and 26 minutes--which I am going to find out only AFTER the job is complete that I would be expected to pay almost $390 in LABOR for that 90 minute road trip for 2 tiny paint cans, as Tim charged $130 per person per hour even for this time in transit--which took far too long given our proximity to stores and "
