We went with Dawson for a couple reasons - great reviews online, Greg was pressure-free when it came to deciding what we wanted for the project, and a reasonable estimate. During the course of each project, the work was handled with extreme care and attention, and with great professionalism. "I have worked with Meadows construction in the past on a new 2 level deck and was very impressed with their workmanship and the crew. They are VERY hard workers. We needed a very large addition and kitchen/living area added and their work is great. We had a couple of issues come up because of the work an outside architect had done but Mike and I worked it out. His foreman is spot on and his crew are just wonderful to work with. He and his foreman were always a phone call away as I was away during construction. They had solutions when we had questions and followed through on them. On a project this large there are always bound to be things that come up but we always managed to come up with solutions. Mike, Brian, Otti and the rest of the crew, we thank you for making our plans come to fruition and doing a great job. He promised to be done in April and he came through on that promise. "Once again and with the highest confidence, we hired Russell's Contracting to convert our back entrance into a more open, useful mudroom. As promised, they arrived on time on the expected date and started by sealing off the back entrance for dust. The demolition of the closet was first done, and then the rehab began. I was amazed at the level of detail necessary to make the new mudroom perfect. From fixing the ceiling to installing new walls, taping and sanding, painting, new baseboards, and moving the overhead light, it was fun to watch. Colby was professional, exacting, efficient, clean, and asked all the right questions to ensure we were happy with the result. The new mudroom is exactly what we wanted. In addition, we asked Russell's to help us figure out how to make our open staircase to the second floor safer. Keith, Colby, and Max designed and installed a custom-built, stair-to-ceiling railing system that looks great and provides the necessary safety we were looking for. They also made it removable to accommodate large objects up and down stairs. The amount of time they spent was crazy, and the amount of math they did to ensure it was plumb and solid was above and beyond our expectations. My house was built in 1933, and this railing system looks like it could have been original to the house. It is a masterpiece.
