"I landed upon Crackology at the right time and I was very thankful for it. I had been working with a previous concrete company for wellnover 6 months. Not only did this company consume a lot of my time, money was wasted and the job was left incomplete. I was left trying to figure out how my excavation and foundation was going to to be completed before the winter kicked in placing my unfinished basement at risk of shifting and potentially more costs! They also offered financing as an option even though I did not need it. Crackology was able to not only fix what the previous concrete company left incomplete but gave an expected time of completion with a breakdown of expected costs. Very thorough with assessing what I desired for my basement (excavation, new beams, waterproof barrier), they did not leave me wondering when the job would be complete, and most importantly, kept me in the loop alongside each step of completion. "From the beginning, I liked the fact that Cody was punctual. The first appointment he couldn't make, but he called to inform me, and that had value. When he did show, he took notes of what I wanted and gave some suggestions. I intentionally planned a big project, but we had to scale back once we found out that we needed to focus on another project. Anyhow, I had Cody's crew trim the front hedge and build a small retaining wall/garden area near my front porch steps. The area was small and had landscape timbers that needed to be removed. They did an excellent job of trimming the hedge. For the retaining wall, they removed the landscape timber, all but one, and it appears that they tried to use it as support for dirt. The first retaining wall attempt didn't look quite right. I looked at the finished product at night and didn't notice the extra landscape timber until the next day. I took a picture of it the day after that and brought it to Cody's attention. I didn't get a chance to tell Cody that we didn't have any landscape timber on the other side of the handrail, where there are pavers too, because he sent his guys back. I didn't anticipate this. The crew came back and asked what could be done. In full disclosure, I couldn't understand them too well, and thankfully, I grew up speaking Spanish because of my mother, and knew exactly how to communicate with them on how the retaining wall could function best without the landscape timber that was beneath the handrail. The young man, Alejandro, worked nonstop the day he first attempted to do it right, and for the do-over, he worked non stop. I noticed he hadn't eaten and I felt bad, so I gave him some snacks and water. He deserves good merit because he paid attention to how I wanted the wall/planting area to look. Maybe next time I'll make them lunch. The job ended up looking beautiful and will look great once I have flowers in it."
